It's kinda ridiculous that we can't trade more than 1 million gil at a time.

Most things now cost well over 1 million gil and someone is taking a risk by trading several million gil to a stranger before getting the item. The alternative is the crafter trades the item after the first trade and risks not getting the remainder of the gil.

I think a limit of 10 or 20 million per trade is more reasonable.

This limit was put in place partially to mitigate the amount of money that RMTs could exchange without having to go through the process several times. There are other reasons as well, but this is the most prominent reason among them.

most people don't want to trade stuff for over a certain amount because of the tax. If SE removed the tax this sort of thing wouldn't be getting asked. Also the fact that practically most things useful costing over 1mil is the game's economy is inflating with no control which is a major sign they are losing the battle against rmt.

I never pay the tax, I refuse. Wow does not have a gold trading limit and that game works just fine. SWTOR does not have a limit on subscribers. Countless other MMORPGs do not have a stupid trade limit. Ill deal with this stupid limit and trade 1 mil gil 10 times if I have to in order to alleviate a tax.

How to get around tax:

Selling - use basic math to add the tax amount to the item you wish to sell. Want to sell something for 100 gil? Sell it at 105 gil.

Buying - warp to city-state where item is located. Buy item. No tax is charged to you.

I know why the limit was put in place. It has done nothing to stop RMT. Now, due to inflation, the 1 million limit is an archaic design. It needs to be increased to keep up with inflation. 1 million was okay back when people barely had that. Now most people have several million gil and 1 million gil is not a reasonable limit.

They should just abolish Gil trading completely. That will snuff out RMT, and tax all the market transactions lowering the inflation rate.

Also trading massive amounts of gil can send suspicions to your character as an rmt gil seller. SE has issues with that stuff and players get banned for no reason because of stuff like that.

I have traded massive amounts of gil to my wife who then in turn gave it to my alt for a guild house. I would like to know who else has been banned by doing a legitimate exchange such as myself.
