Actually, Living Liquid is a revamp of Living Flame, a boss from FFV, complete with all 3 phases. Probably the best boss of all 4 and definitely the most enjoyable when doing NM Alex

I'm aware of its reference. However, i'm talking about its relevance in this game. Cid was different in every Final Fantasy he(or she now) appeared in whether it was a generic npc or a party member.

Right.. because Caduceus and Rafflesia were very relevant to the COB storyline..

Can't speak for Rafflesia, but pretty sure most of the bosses in COB were Allagan constructs placed inside as defense systems. Anyone outside of that was set up by Bahamut himself to stop you getting to him.

Could not care any less about the story in raids. Do not like there being no gap content between dungeons and raids that drops actual gear. Do not like highest item level being handed out for no effort. Despise tomestone system, it's nothing but pure laziness. Make content, not currency. Worried that there will never be another fight in the game like Pepsi Man that requires both mechanical awareness and player ability to eke out DPS at the same time due to the crying masses.

So the same could be said for Living Liquid; therefore this convo is moot.
