• Kill the monster
• Wait for the game to register you're out of combat
• Summon your mount

Not really. I just keep running, usually by the time the monster leashes and leave me alone I have 10-15 seconds left on the heavy and I'm out of combat. That's when I pop TW, remount, and go back on my way.

Kill the monster...? If your on a mount, your going somewhere. Dont bother killing the mob, just temp will and pop sprint till it deaggros and pretend like it never happened.
