* Not sure if this was answered elsewhere, but I'm guessing Main Hand / Secondary Tools for Disciples of the Hand and Land won't be able to be Materia-ized / Attach Materia to?

As for turning Rare/EX Gear into Materia (you said you were "looking into it"), I guess it depends on how you and Matsui-san want to balance the game? I thought it was stated earlier that Crafted Items w/ Materia would eventually be greater than NM (Rare/EX) Drops?

If that's your premise then focus on that. Or else, Rare/EX Materia Attached Items are just 1 more in a long line of items that can all be Materia'ized and attached to.
