I am planning a new Free Company on Faerie, but where to start?

I've decided to get a Free Company going on the Faerie. I already spoke to the Quarter Master of The Maelstrom and I need those 3 signatures. This free company will essentially focus on gil making, helping players level up, and for crafting and gathering. Anyone is welcome, although players who focus on crafting/gathering and the Disciplines of Magic (including AST) are preferred. The problem is that I have virtually no friends in FFXIV. I have been so busy grinding and progressing with the story, that I paid little attention to the social aspect of the game. I'm a part of a Linkshell, but I rarely speak to anyone there.

I'm going to be blunt here but you don't exactly seem cut out for FC leadership if you are just now considering the social aspect of the game. Have you considered joining a pre-existing FC to even see if this is the thing for you? People don't really consider the effort involved in making a solid FC and getting people more socially involved and actually stick around.

It's tough work and you need to be logged in as much as you can, so if you are prepared to foot most of the workload until you get a solid base then best of luck to you. You'll just need to shout around the towns/areas people gather until you find some like-minded individuals
