Okay, that's alot clearer than what you started with... and would only work if there was a party treasure chest where loot sat until the end of the dungeon, only allowing rolls at that time. This wouldn't solve anything as people would still be able to see if what they wanted dropped and if it didn't they'd still Leave. It just 'ensures' that if it did they'd stay till the end. It would be interesting, wouldn't really change anything for me. We also already have such a system in the game, it's called the Quartermaster loot rule. Not many use it, probably due to the misconception that the quartermaster would just kick everyone and keep all the drops. Either way, it's a loot rule and that has to be decided as a Party. Duty isn't a formal party.

They can stay for a weekly eso upgrade drop. No other reason to run VA really. Unless you find its gear attractive for glamours for some reason.

Actually, some of the Void Ark drops are good upgrades. I finally ditched my worthless pants for the Void Ark pants. And no, not touching Diadem again if I can help it.

oh don't misunderstand. I think that the OP is literally frothing at the mouth because they're wanting to lock loot. I bet they're the same kinda person that looks at the party list and curses when there's double class overlap... for their job.

I just think that people try to lie to themselves a little on the subject and it's silly since... let's face it - we're not obligated to complete the duty. We did the work to get the loot we got.

The thing is none of the drops in void ark are best in slot people mainly do it the eso upgrade item at the end. Many would be happy to get a run in progress because they save time and don't have to do the whole zone. The gear that drops in there isn't really good for anything more then glamor.

Glamor is a thing (look at how many pony runs people do). Its also a great way to gear up alts.

Fixing what problem? Replacing people in void ark has never been a problem. The problem seems to be personal with you regarding other people leaving and taking penalty. I could personally care less. Trying to impose your will onto others is the epitome of selfishness.

The real problem here is why are you worried about rolling against the whole party?
Go in as the job the loot is intended for- then at best you're tank and are guaranteed tank drops and at worst you somehow ended up in a 5 DRG party (I've seen it happen).
Either way if you go in as the role of the loot you want, most of the time you'll only role against one to two others.

You are getting a break, those people get replaced in an instant.

"Because its a mean thing to do." In general you want game design to punish people being jerks, not reward them.

Or someone joined in progress and rolled on an item he wanted, and won.


With tank queues being what they are (solo - 1 queue at 22 minutes, 5 at +65 minutes ), I would almost prefer that if a tank got their item on boss 2 and they already have the upgrade bit that they drop party and let someone else join in progress. You get a penalty and no 20 ESO.... nothing else needs to be done.
