Monk had it pretty harsh on the jumps in 2.x, then they got form shift.
Indirect fixes to BLM in general that I want to see, that would help Enochain:
-Remove the Flare spam nerf, let AF register when the spell hits. After the HW Flare nerf it's less dps on 2+ targets anyway.
-Treat magic damage like physical damage when mobs go immune. Physical damage still gets skillchain advancement, form shifts, buffs, some debuffs, etc on immune to damage mobs. There's nothing more annoying than a boss going immune to damage mid-B3 cast, leaving me with no AF, no UI, and no MP.Great suggestions. Definitely agree. If I had to ask for an Enochian based QoL change, it'd be that under Enochian Astral Fire and Umbral Ice's duration is extended to 12 seconds.
That would help alleviate a lot of the punishment associated with a small movement. Hell they did it for Monks, so this cannot be too much of a stretch.
2. Have F4 give you a self buff that makes the next F1 instant. Adds mobility and loosens the AF refresh timer.

Umm Flare was our most potent in 2.X, not fire 3..... Hence the 3X Flares and so on, because stuff melted,
Anyhow the change was needed and i actually enjoy it, even if i get uber mad at the bs it causes at times because mechanics oh so much love leylines. (Just ask fellow members or summoners, i am sure they will agree, lol)
Enochian really is something that, to be optimal as blm you have to know the fight and be 100% on your game, fall off of enochian really is a huge dps loss, thankfully most of us now have no issues with timing.
Also the lore and tbh the opening scene of ARR, that Blm seemed pretty bad ass to me, so right there i knew i had to play as one![]()
I think Enoch is fine once you learn mechanics of a lot of fights. If anything needs a QoL boost it's Ley Lines since both Doton and Salted Earth are 3 times as big and any Boss AoE that targets Ley Lines just tells you to either leave or put up your shields. But hey whatever. Nice QoL changes to spells like Sleep/Lethargy would be great as well since in most cases especially in Heavensward it affects like nothing at all. I don't like having useless spells. Or just casting Fire and Ice. No petrification or death spells just baffles me.
Usually that 10 seconds of Enoch left tells me to start transitioning over to Blizzard 3 and 4 and I'm usually good.
Still my favorite job though.
The last time I played Monk, which was some time during the last patch, I got no combo advances, form shifts or buffs when hitting an immune target. Only TP and GCD wasted. Our Warrior doesn't get anything either when hitting immune things.-Treat magic damage like physical damage when mobs go immune. As far as I know, the game considers hitting an immune target the same as a miss which means you get nothing from it.

Yoshi-P is doing his best and is patching Endwalker. Please wait warmly until it is ready.
I think you at least get combo advances from hitting immune targets (at least it's the case for our warrior in A3 for tornado phase, I have to double check on that). Monk doesn't use a "combo advancement" mechanic like every other job, but instead they gain a buff from their hits that allow specific attacks. I can say for a fact that my MCH does not get any buff procs from hitting an invulnerable target with ammo.
If it prevented you from gaining a buff, then it's working as intended as far as disallowing BLMs, MCH, and MNKs to continue their rotation, as well as any other jobs from gaining a buff from their hit (such as heavy thrust or straight shot). Other jobs like NIN, DRG and the tanks are less so with a traditional combo mechanic, but it's still wasted TP (and a DRG can't necessarily afford to miss a step on their chaos thrust combo or forego gaining a buff for their 4th hit)

I noticed getting combo advances on WAR in 2.x fights when the boss was immune to damage, pretty sure first three primals and keeper of the lake final boss worked that way. I thought I was also gaining Wrath and Main buff, but I'm not 100% sure. The last time I played Monk, which was some time during the last patch, I got no combo advances, form shifts or buffs when hitting an immune target. Until around 2.3, BLM required doing damage to get UI/AF, which meant there was no way to get either against a mob with large HP and Stoneskin. Getting rid of that was a very welcome fix.
