We have daily threads about broken this, imbalanced that, obsolete content here, underdeveloped endgame there. Maybe you should make one of those instead of a meta-thread that takes space from a more targeted issue.

I just said that everything is being more excess-able so more people can play.
Sadly, catering to a select group of "Hardcore" players just isn't equitable for companies.
I can understand wanting more in-depth game play but taking out your frustration over gaming companies trying to cater more people and going on an anti-casual-gamer rant just doesn't help your case one bit.

The only actual "new" content we've gotten since ARR has been Diadem and Lords of Verminion. Everything else is just a reskinned clone. Hunts. Tomes. Pointless raids.

You are missing my point. My point is you can't take something that's kind of broken for 3/13 of the jobs in the game and throw it into the open world. I'd much rather see PvP get the changes it needs and deserves than see them add a "new" version.

And open world PvP isn't new either. It just happens to not exist in this MMO.

What's the point of this thread? I mean really, what are you actually trying to accomplish here? If it's a thread to piss and moan we have a dozen of those a day. If you're trying to call out the playerbase for being casual or even pants on head stupid we see a dozen of those a day too. If this is just to say people like things you don't likethere are a ton of those as well. I'm just trying to figure out what the rationale is behind it all because it doesn't go anywhere besides a flame war or a circlejerk.

Half the threads I see here are people asking for glamour, asking for mounts, asking for Lightning Returns, returns, returns again. Asking for Star Wars cross over events. Kingdom Hearts.

Asking for more NPC glamour. Asking for mounts to fly.

Is this game seriously Fashion Fantasy 14? Is that all these casuals care about is playing dress up with dolly?

Glamour is great but come on seriously. Is that ALL the community is concerned with?

I 100% agree with OP on some of this stuff.

I want to improve the job and role I play I don't even care if I have to spend days or weeks if it means I can get an item that will improve me.

Right now all we have is the item levels which mean nothing not because of the diadem but because we will have higher item level gear in 3.2 at this point they mind as well save us the trouble and just give us items to increase the item lvl and stats on our AF2 gear instead of designing new tome gear.

I've started leveling alt classes since levels don't get outdated. I used to spend a significant amount of time gearing my character and spent weekends raiding, but I don't even actively pursue gear anymore since I know catch up gear and uncapped tomestones will all be easier to get in the next patch. It doesn't surprise me that people like their cosmetic upgrades because in 3 months, their glamour will be just as viable, it just needs to be slapped onto a +2 Cuirass of Striking. Maybe people will be less interested in playing dress up when the gear itself has more interesting qualities than what visual glamour you can slap over it.

I'm a casual and an unapologetic glamour addict. I love the glamour community in XIV because it's generally positive and uplifting, unlike my experiences with the raiding community. Putting together unique outfits stretches the limits of player creativity in a way that no other facet of the game does - since houses are limited to a small fraction of the community and everyone more or less has to play the same outside of it.

Plus $15/month for virtual fashions is a heck of a lot cheaper than what real life fashion would cost me.

More to the point... Looking at the "new posts" feed, the only thread on page 1 talking about glamor is this one. There's several threads talking about balance issues. It's not like we're getting spammed here.

There were plenty of threads on how to fix content, and then 99% of them get ignored and only the ones regarding minions, mounts, and whatever else get answered. What do you expect? People get demotivated after they see they aren't being responded to.
