Can't you see how female Vanu Vanu dance? Stop saying sexism all time while there's proof that it's from real life dancing. SMH![]()
I'm a few days away, and I'm thinking that we probably get the more masculine version...we have bigger arms and legs after all.To hopefully steer the subject somewhere more positive, has anyone spotted the dance on a female Roe yet? They're like gold dust on my server (I think I've seen two, ever) and I'm quite curious about how it looks on a lady with a larger frame. The Miqo'te girl's adorable face gives the dance a certain cuteness and I'm wondering whether that's the same across the races, even if the actual motion is the same.
(We seem to have got the hugging knee's sitting pose in 3.1 ...but our arms are placed differently to other races because we bigger >.<)
It is arguably a little sexist that the girls have to do the much more subdued and passive dance while the guys have to do the much more active and aggressive dance, and if both options were available for both sexes it'd be fine. I mean, just because it came from real life doesn't mean it ain't sexist :P

Cultural Relativism kind of laughs at this statement.
There's other reason why female not spread their leg. When I see the picture of Maori Haka, the female using "almost" long skirt that "may" not make you spread like male do (Perhaps for "woman" things? Dunno don't ask me)It is arguably a little sexist that the girls have to do the much more subdued and passive dance while the guys have to do the much more active and aggressive dance, and if both options were available for both sexes it'd be fine. Why is a "more active and agressive" dance inherently better and not sexist compared to a subdued dance? It is arguably a little sexist that the girls have to do the much more subdued and passive dance while the guys have to do the much more active and aggressive dance, and if both options were available for both sexes it'd be fine. People also claimed that men being unable to wear female clothing was sexist, and that Eorzea shouldn't stick to the standards of our modern day culture and whatever. They were upvoted by quite a large amount of people too, it seems like one side wants the other to understand the other while conflicting with each others opinions. Some people like Serilda have remained reasonable, but others are dropping to the level of the other... unreasonable people from that thread. You don't reason with unreasonable people by dropping to their level. One of my favourite quotes, "Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience".
I'm assuming the OP's post was a joke, but then people had to create a whole "thing" out of it.
Yeah, this seems to be one of those unfortunate cases where the real version is to blame.
It would be neat to be able to /cpose to the opposite gender's version though. I probably wouldn't, as any lack of enthusiasm in the motion capture is magnified a thousandfold when used by Elezen men for some reason, but I can certainly see why some people would want the alternate version of the dance. Reward for some future unified beast tribe questline?
I assume that's Samcaesar's personal preference. A few of the ladies have said they like the more subdued version; it depends on the character's individual personality. I mean, I know that I look magnificent doing the Thavnairian dance in a long skirt and it fits my character (even though none of the Miqo'te in my FC agree).
