I would take the gear designs of all those games > ANY gear in ffxiv. FFXIV gear is hideous and extremely limiting. As much as I agree on letting males wear bunny ears, I don't think Blade and Soul is the best example. The outfits in that game are ludicrous, the type you'd find strippers wearing. The last thing I'd want is for SE to take inspiration from the likes of Blade & Soul, TERA, etc.
♥ MORE HIGH HEELS + INSTANCED HOUSING! ♥!
I don't consider any of these hideous, or limiting (whatever that's supposed to mean) in anyway, but to each their own.
Image heavy:
I googled Paladin AF1, and found this (modified) FFXI version, this is the stuff you'd find in TERA and is what I'd consider rather ugly, and limiting in terms of defense in battle. NSFW:

It'd be nice if you didn't cherry pick Blade and Soul's outfits, especially bringing up the non-NA/EU version censorship.
There are plenty of outfits that are not fan service, such as this one.
It really isn't fair to cherry pick BnS outfits when we don't purposely pick out the various fan service outfits in FF 14.
I don't have experience with Blade and Soul, as it's not released anywhere outside of Korea and maybe Japan/China too (not sure there) as of yet. I just googled Blade and Soul outfits and pasted a few that I found, and over 90% of them were skimpy, that's not an argument. As for whether or not that's representative of the game, I have no clue, but if the majority on google are skimpy I'm going to assume so. I'm not claiming the entire game is fan service and is rubbish, but it is very clear that it is heavily reliant on fanservice in order to make money. It'd be nice if you didn't cherry pick Blade and Soul's outfits, especially bringing up the non-NA/EU version censorship.

Edit: regardless of that, I'm expressing my opinion which is the dislike of such outfits. Why are you B&S fans getting so defensive? Different people hold different views.
I mean, you'd be getting pretty defensive too if somebody were to make broad, sweeping, uninformed generalizations about a game that you were excited for. Besides, isn't our game doing the exact same thing with the Minfilia outfit? That thing breaks the boob slider, and goes for a solid $15 on top of our already existing sub fees.
That whole $15 is a subject for another thread, but believe me, I'm not a fan of that whole cash shop thing SE has going.I mean, you'd be getting pretty defensive too if somebody were to make broad, sweeping, uninformed generalizations about a game that you were excited for. I made a comment about game's like that, not even just about Blade and Soul, and people continued asking questions so I followed it up. I apologize then, let's redirect it back to the original topic.
+1 I support bunny men, and think Savvy's screenshot looks great.

Off topic: Outfits in most Korean MMOs are highly sexualized, in my experience. And you're not alone, I hate it as well. I greatly enjoy the fact that the majority of outfits in FFXIV are not that way.
On topic: I agree with the people saying it's ridiculous that men can't have bunny ears or more feminine options. I don't plan to use that stuff myself, but why should other people who want to use it be denied when female characters basically get everything? And no, "because waifu" isn't a good reason.
