The issue was that 24-man raids have a 4 boss limit, so she would have had to have been reduced to a trash mob (like 2-headed dragon, who was replaced with 5-headed dragon) or cut and reused later.
I think it's better to have cut her and made her unique.
Meanwhile, Cúchulain more closely resembles his Lacavi from from Tactics as Cúchulain: The Impure King. This is near impossible to find support for from google, but Foobar is another name for "Black Pudding" which is a sausage made from blood. It's popular in Europe and Asian countries, but I can't figure out which one calls it Foobar... I think from what I can turn up it's a variation specific to Finland...
The aesthetics are closer to Tactics, yeah, but the fight itself is very much XII.Meanwhile, Cúchulain more closely resembles his Lacavi from from Tactics as Cúchulain: The Impure King. Definitely a mix between the Tactics and FF XII version, especially with the colour scheme from Tactics, and the fight is definitely similar to XII ... but with none of the flare. I was a little disappointed that this was what FFXIV came up with for Cuchulainn... In Tactics and FFXII he was a serious badass. This guy handed out some royal butt kicking's, but in FFXIV hes... just bleh. Same goes for Atmos. That guy literally ate (that's right, straight up devoured) an entire city in FFIX, but in XIV he's just a squshy trash mob. Kinda sad.
"Diabolos" is the correct transliteration of the Attic Greek διἆβολος (lit. "slanderous", but etymologically the origin of English "devil".)
Your pronunciation guide suggests you're mispronouncing it, anyway; it would be better represented as "dee-AH-bo-los". (And the 'los' rhymes with 'dose', not 'hose' or 'boss'.)
Most DF groups I've been in might disagree on the "badass" part, seeing as he's the hardest part of the raid right now. Though thats partly because it seems some people don't know they can actually move when he turns to attack them instead of the tank.
As well, while IX Atomos did a lot of damage, its not the only game it was a part of...and if we really are gonna talk about awesomeness I think the XI version was the most awesome one in that regard? (never actually played it but I think I remember something about it being a major part of atleast one xpac). As well since their was the whole Atomos Prime thing in WoD, I think its possible a more powerful Atomos could show up later, similar to how Diabolos can now actually show his power.
XI's is far and away the most destructive Atomos, yes. It literally eats dimensions and entire worlds that it deems unsuitable for existence.
And the greatest thing about it?
You don't have the power to do anything against it, beside fulfill its wishes and give it what it wants.
Also, the expansion was Wings of the Goddess. It was a pretty depressing Expansion in general, for many reasons.

At this point I was extremely happy that Chuchulainn made it in and kept the whole poison theme. Chuchulainn was already one of my favorites (My characters name originates from him. In FFXII he occasionally uses "Malaise" - "Miasma" in german. It got stuck in my head for eternities and so I went with that.) I'm happy, I wish he'd have used Malaise and Blight but Bile Below and Pestilence are pretty darn cool. Also 500 bison double $$ "Black Lung" probably would've been called "Miasma" if it wasn't for the arcanist spell. (at least in my dreams)
Now I want to see Ultima and Mateus. Bring back the Lucavi, SQEX!
