If it does make you want to quit, then why not quit?
It's primarily one of the easiest things on this game and if you can't handle it, tough love from here.

So for new players it is impossible to be like older players and get everything 50+. I am out of Leve quests. At 0 points. Only get 6 per day that comes back.
Leveling roulette, queues hit up 2 hours. Specific dungeon, even longer so let's not talk about it.
People been telling about Fate, yeah, okay. Where? Quarry Swiftperch / Aleport is empty. Quarrymill is empty, Costa Del Sol is empty. Camp Dragonhead... also empty. Northern Thanalan got some action.
But I bet by time I get there there will be none left.
So how this leveling issue will be fixed?
Sincerely I feel like quitting the game at this point. Been too long I try to get some level on Arcanist for example.Posting any sort of negative feelings toward the general system of the game is gonna cause people like that^ to answer you, mainly for defending their purchase and others being un-remorseful jerkbags. Just a heads up.
My advice for you is as soon as you feel bored from grinding, take a break. If you start up again and get bored faster then that just means the game is boring to you and you should consider unsubcribing. One thing I don't do is lie to myself and I'll admit, this game is a real piece of s%$# sometimes. I played Wow one time with a friend and as soon as I started doing quests for gathering I was already bored. 2nd try, I unsubscribed. A little more close to the topic, I gave my cousin a subscription for XIV. He played it to lvl 14 and gave up saying "this game isn't for me". It was boring and tedious to him and he plays plenty of rpgs and action games.
If lvling is bugging you, use the pf to make a grind group for dungeons or something. All I did was dungeons to get my classes that high, boring as hell and made me want to spike my controller but kinda worth it. Also try requesting for the exp storage thing some players asked for. Something about taking exp from a fully maxed character and giving it to another class Idk. Good luck
Haven't defended the purchase at all, it's interesting you derive so much from 2 lines.
It's simple, this is a game. You don't like the game? Don't play it. I know I'll quit when I'm bored.
I don't like doing beast tribes, does that mean I should get a shortcut for everything in completion in beast tribes? I don't think so, I just don't do it nor do I get it's rewards.
If you don't like leveling in this game, find something else to do or find another game to play.

There was several ways you could of replied and you chose a frank answer being inconsiderate of the op's situation basically telling them "Don't like lvling? too bad.". Its not the first time it happened and it wont be the last since I suppose people like that sort of stuff since you have some many thumbs ups as well as the other similar posts. And for those who answer threads like that are, and now I'll be frank, sound like a#$holes.Haven't defended the purchase at all, it's interesting you derive so much from 2 lines.

Lvling is the crappiest part of the game. No one likes it. But we do it anyway so we can have the class we can play later. Just because lvling is becoming more crappy doesn't mean you don't like the game. btw Beast tribe quests are completely optional. lvling is not except if you already have a few classes lvled. Obviously the op needs a way to find lvling more enjoyable or simply a short break from it.

To be frank, I don't care if I sound like an asshole to you. To be frank, I don't even care if you think I should die at the hands of ISIS for it (and yes, I know saying that is insensitive, but I'm using it to prove my point). I stand by my point that in an MMO a grind is going to be a thing, and for example FATE groups, if there isn't any in PF, make one. You either suck it up and work around it, or you can quit. Thing is, if she needed people for quicker dungeon queues, and she was on my server, I would help if she put a PF for it. Or if she was on my friends list and messaged me asking for help, or if she was in my FC. Indeed right now I'm helping an FC mate with Stone Vigil for XP.
Uhh yeah. sure. I hardly believe you'd help her after telling her to just quit he game for having a hard time lvling. If you really want to help you'd give advice for making lvling more tolerable. And yes, you are insensitive, but not to your friends it seems. Which just makes you look like a generic a@#hole. Grats.![]()
Sorry to burst your bubble (after thought, nope), but for me MMO = Leveling. The End game, where you do the same over and over, just to get glamour once you're at the full iLvl, for some it ain't fun with the rude behavior and expectation of the git gud community. There was several ways you could of replied and you chose a frank answer being inconsiderate of the op's situation basically telling them "Don't like lvling? too bad.". I am enjoying lvling even if it's long. I don't care because I play an MMO.. which is meant to be for the long run. So I am an a#$holes since I like it. Thank you ^^
*he's complaining about lvling an ALT, which means he's been through a MAIN somewhere.. so if you despise lvling that much, you don't lvl an ALT. /Thread
btw Beast tribes for my NIN now gives me close to 150k xp per day. Doing your Hunt lvl 1-2-3 everyday will neat you around 300 k per day, plus nice Centurios seals..
If you do your Challenge Log, you get 84k per accomplishment (scaled of course), like.. 5 and then 10 fates (plus the xp from the fates), then 20 leves per week (plus the xp from the leves), then Dongeon roulettes, then 5 dungeons.. plus the bonus for food, plus the bonus from FC..
If you cannot level up quickly that way, I don't know what to say.

So your main idee is if a new player tell you that lvling in the game that you love is boring and wants to make him quit you just tell them to quit w/o telling them or helping them in the game.
Atleast try to bring something to other players other then just saying''If it does make you want to quit, then why not quit?''
''It's primarily one of the easiest things on this game and if you can't handle it, tough love from here.''
If you like your game you should try to help it grow and not by telling other players to just ''quit if your gona whine''
If lvling is ''the easiest thing on this game to do'' why not suggest something to a player asking for help !
OPs attitude is probably a big factor here. I don't think they were willing to listen to any replies unless they shared the same sentiment of "LEVELING SUCKS!".So your main idee is if a new player tell you that lvling in the game that you love is boring and wants to make him quit you just tell them to quit w/o telling them or helping them in the game.

Sincerely asking - if someone isn't enjoying a game, why should they stick around? There are a ton of MMOs out there, all with their own flavor. Perhaps XIV is really just not the game for them, and they'd be better not wasting more time or money on a game they just can't seem to get into. They said they were having issues getting past the early 20s on their Arcanist. Leveling at that point is not difficult, so perhaps lack of motivation or boredom is holding them back?
