Actually, these 'fluff' options are a great idea, not only for the players, but for SE. People are more than willing to pay good money for server transfers, name changes, race changes, gender changes, etc. This could be a way for SE to actually make a bit of revenue while they're not charging subscription fees.

Besides, FFXI had server transfers. To not have that option is a step backward.

yes beside that its help up SE to get some profit while the game its still free and they are doing their best now to make the best for us to enjoy it to the maximum so that its will be good for SE and us

I prolly spent about $75 a year on XI just transferring lol. Was hopping all over due to ls breaks and friends leaving. I think the whole 3 month wait was silly, should be more like 1 month or even less, I understand not being able to transfer like 5 times in 1 go.
