How do you expect notice for EMERGANCY maintenance? Are you for real? O.o You're not entitled to any free time back when they and fixing the game, the people who always ask for this frankly just look like kids throwing their toys out of their prams. You're paying a sub to keep the game expanding and running smoothly (dem devs need paying, also - profit), to do so requires maintenance.

Maybe you should read that wonderful User Agreement that you accepted OP:

You actually think people read the entire ToS? Not an attack just kinda funny cus I am sure most of us just scrolled and agreed, but this kinda thing is common sense. Sorry to hear its happening when your trying to play though.

They usually make a notice in teh launcher about tehre being an emergency maintenance, and if you read what I wrote, you'd know that after a while of working I finally got a day off and I can't do anything about it, I'm heading back to work tomorrow afternoon for a whole week, and that's pretty much why I'm pissed off.
I paid for a month, out of which due to maintenance that's not regular (and this wouldn't happen if it was regular or at least less often) I get to play this wonderful game for like 4 hours, maybe 5 hours a month.

The emergencies always happen when I have the time. I'm not constantly at work too, but when I have the working week, I just have the bad luck of having a day off when the game has a day off.

They should simply start running a regular maintenance, and maybe this somehow will lessen the amount of emergencies they run, 6th mnc this months really is a bit much.

They do run regular maintenance. Whenever there is a game update, especially a large one like 3.1 there will be unexpected bugs and issues that need fixing over the a few weeks as they are discovered and reported in which case they do some unexpected emergency maintenance.

I too do not like it but it happens and just have to deal with it. Part of playing a MMO.

Just FYI, I was on the server BEFORE maintenance. Then, I got booted and was stuck in lobby like forever, trying to log back in. It seemed like I could get in at first, but I was always kicked out before moogle flying loading screen would finish loading. The server just wouldn't let me in. So, even without this emergency maintenance, the servers on Chaos Datacenter still wouldn't let you in. Maintenance was to fix this. It didn't cause it. Don't get angry at the maintenance.
