In fairness they're usually created/maintained by the same group of people, and these forums represent such a small portion of the XIV playerbase to begin with.

True. True. But tbh, let's say you take that male Viera concept art with, frankly, rather unique proportions that could identify the race just from their shadow, and take off the ears. Anyone wanting something new that's not necessarily a beastman would likely go for it, just because it's no longer a damn bunny. Similarly, the ears... make it something of a beastman. Where do the different groups draw the line, I wonder...

Off-subject: Tbh, I personally care more adding physique options to our existing races (and improving the Au'ra scale and horn options) than for throwing a new one into the mix, though I can see why that's an unpopular stance.

Not the same. I like the elegant and mature appearance the Viera have. A simple pair of bunny ear gear cannot copy that.

Miqote is a hyur with ears/tails, au ra is hyur/elezen. Everything will look alike, this is FF, not World of warcraft. If that's the reason not to add them then that's not a reason in FFXIV. Human classes (the only thing they will ever add) will look like other humans (discovery of the century).

Doesn't mean we should have less races. People still comparing this game to WoW? Seriously, its getting old. If they added Viera race everyone would know SE would hop on the opportunity to add more story and areas based on that specific race because it'd be obviously lazy of them if they didn't, they wouldn't want that. The lore would be expanded, and could increase the playerbase for those who are a fan of FFXII or motivate the current players. For WoW, why would anyone care? Its a series in itself, new crap is new crap and your happy your getting something. DLC out the ass it seems though. :/
