My Concerns/Ideas for the Pet Glamour System

It would be funny if u would have to gather primal-tokens for glamour dropping by the primal u want to glamour f.e. kill Ravana Ex for 1 Ravana glamour token which lasts for uhm lets say 24hs? Oh as easteregg u could spend all tokens of all primals at once for a Bahamut-glamour that fits all three Egis – now that would be cool :P

Ugh... I don't mind the idea of farming Ex primals for tokens with which to purchase new Egi skins - but the idea of farming Ex Primals for tokens to RENT new Egi skins makes my skin crawl. No, once you get a new skin it should be urs 4 lyfe.

I wonder how they wanna intergrate the glamour system instead of brand new Egis storywise...

I find it more likely we'll see the newer primals show up as new egi options. A more AOE driven egi, a more support driven egi, a DOT fucused egi, etc.


BUT, if simple glamours are the way to go, I foresee SE taking the easy route and simply picking one new primal to cover another, i.e. Shiva or Titan as your tank, as they would only have to come up with one animation set per Egi.

It would also make playing with Summoners simple as other players would still be able to tell exactly what type of Egi you have out, glamour or no, without changing anything fundamental with the job.

For the sake of it all taking less work to implement, I do more or less expect it'll be where there are X egis to choose from in each of the three roles. Ideally you'd be able to assign them to all the roles, but that depends powerfully on just how able/willing the dev team is to come up with new animations/icons/names to fit every variant of each attack.

What I'm hoping for is that it won't be SMN exclusive. As a SCH secondary, I would rather be able to have something else as a pet besides just the two, (realistically one), fairies we have currently. Personally, I'm also hoping that the glamours aren't "role" specific, and more so that at least the carbuncles will be available regardless of whether you're a SMN or SCH. I'd like to have my Topaz Carbuncle as my companion once again.....

I think Scholars should be able to use Carbuncles and I actually think they should give Scholars a Phoenix-egi pet glamour (they could use the mini-Phoenixes from T12).
