I know you all confirmed it several times already but I did double check and I was wrong... No grade 5

I think we are going to find, everyone got shafted on this one.
- Craft gear with no materia slots: SB it to stats on the gear.
- Make Slotted gear that can't have Materia slotted with main stats.
Everyone is going to be sitting around with 200 Strength/ Vit/ Int V and no use for them. Until someone figures out they can bank enough Int on healer to mimic Cleric stance and still be able to heal full heals, or dex/ parry up a Blm or Goon and laugh off all damage except the I-Win buttons. Then they will be nerfing the abortion we have now.

Sure, with 900 INT worth of melds.Until someone figures out they can bank enough Int on healer to mimic Cleric stance and still be able to heal full heals
Healers have 200 INT and 1100 MND at best.
If you got too many V, trade to Mutamix.
DEX is only for ranged damage, doesn't affect parry chance or amount anymore. Parry is unlikely to have much impact on non-tanks.or dex/ parry up a Blm or Goon and laugh off all damage except the I-Win buttons. Then they will be nerfing the abortion we have now.

This being the current alternative to burning them in a hidden meld system crafting classes have. 5:1 for a lottery role on a crit or det 5.
They could and maybe one day will, make a set of elemental dungeons for sprites that force us to Ice up or Fire up a set of gear resists to get them done. The MSQ focuses on Aether a lot. They could use them to farm it for tertiary content but again, maybe, maybe, maybe.

Until new crafted accessories comes in 3.2, then everyone will be paying 4 million for each of those Tier V to pentameld those accessories since you can add main stats to accessories.I think we are going to find, everyone got shafted on this one.

That will not be wise at all. One can never have too many Tier V battle materia. Elemental ones are fine too transmute though.
Ninja is melee, and it uses Dex too. In future patch, one can craft a Fending accessory with Vit, and then max-meld with Dex for Ninja, Bard and MCH.

Unless Devs follow through on the primary stat lock on melds. We have watched all our gear get locked to class. In time I expect the same to be applied to accessories. Fending will be exclusive to tank, healing to healers. I also expect them to stick materia with some arbitrary function but they seem too obsessed with keeping gear strength under their control.Until new crafted accessories comes in 3.2, then everyone will be paying 4 million for each of those Tier V to pentameld those accessories since you can add main stats to accessories.

Well, if they "follow through" with what they have been giving us, then we will be able to meld STR, DEX or MND on Fending accessories, because that is what we have been having since 2.1.Unless Devs follow through on the primary stat lock on melds. In ARR, I've been using an i110 Fending Ring max-melded with STR for my PLD, Monk and Dragoon. It is great, as one ring gives both STR and VIT, and I don't need to hold too many rings in my Armory Inventory. It helped me greatly through Coil T9. Although, the devs probably found this to be rather overpowering, and perhaps that's why the strongest crafted accessories now are only i150.
When you said "follow through", do you mean what we have been having? Or do you mean "follow through" with the new thought of changing what we have to restrict us?

They have already stated that main stat will be locked out except for the guaranteed slots, which means one mainstat materia per crafted accessory, unless they add 2 or more per accessory.Until new crafted accessories comes in 3.2, then everyone will be paying 4 million for each of those Tier V to pentameld those accessories since you can add main stats to accessories.

I see! Thanks. That's actually not so bad! This means although we can't use a Fending ring for everything, we can use a Fending ring and add a reasonable amount of STR for tank. Alternatively, for DPS classes like Monk, we can use a Slaying ring and add a reasonable amount of Vit to help with survival. It's not game-breaking as the accessory won't let us add a ton, but only a tad bit. I think this new arrangement from S-E is fine. Crafted accessories will still have their places.

They also said that crafted accessories will be much stronger than before to make up with the new melding restriction.
Anyway, let's go back farming the diadem =D
