That's a bit odd and wrong . I honestly thought it was adding another one and another and another one. A completely waste of scrips.

Just saw someone in party finder that said they had 6 specialist jobs, and I'm 99% sure the person in question doesn't have a second character.

Can someone confirm that one way or another?

I have eight specialist jobs. You use alts. The person in question likely has 1 alt, which means 3x2=6 specialist jobs. You cannot, under any circumstance, have more than 3 specializations on a single character.

It is also possible they advertise more than three specializations because they have someone who can do the other three for them reliably when needed.

It's really nice knowing the last five months of my game have been absolutely ruined. I have a culinarian who can make anything yet no content for it to be used in as no one is bothered withn Savage and when we do get a patch. We get another Fish based food craft. Feels like my game is absolutely ruined and I have to start it all again. So yeah. Thanks again for giving us a belated patch that sends me back another six months!!

Lots of people do savage and high quality food sells faster than you can make it on my server.
    Is moogle low population?

Interesting, and kinda dumb. Thanks for clearing it up.

I still don't see what all the complaining is about. Nothing specialists can make is even that great so far.

None of the *new* high level items can be crafted except BY specialists. How good they are is irrelevant -- the trend is a bad one.

It really isn't. It means people can sell things with limited competition. Good for the economy and for people who wanna make gil.
None of it is required either, and I don't think it ever will be. Not like crafters have a shortage of gil either so buying something you want that you can't make isn't an issue for most.

...wait ... you're saying that limited competition is a good thing? But that means that prices will go even HIGHER then the are now, and be less accessible then they currently exist?

And you consider this to be a good thing?

Limiting competition is not good for the economy it makes monopolies, you drive up prices and make the rich richer.
Pretty much what crafting has been doing since pre 3.0.

And again people keep ignoring that the main problem with this whole system is how it was meant to make crafting accessible and easier for players with less time and gil to level and gear.

Pretty much they said "we will help you craft with only one level 60 crafting class sure thing guys! please look forward to it!" and then turned around and said "oh btw you now need mats from 2 other classes minimum for most of your level 50+ crafts and we wont give you versions of the cross class skills you'll need for any of the crafting rotations used by the community. oh and you need to sink a minimum of 10 items worth of mats a week into the scrip system to cap so you can buy gear with scrips cause you definitely can't craft all of it with your one level 60 class! Have fun!"
