Void Ark Vs. Crystal Tower: Pros & Cons

Pro: two chests.

Con: three striking legs fell in one run. Two on the same boss.

Pro: Not a bunch of circles with stairs connecting them. (Though I understand why ST did this.)

Con: as mentioned above, lacks the impression of size that the others had. I don't know how much of a con this is though, but the ship seemed much bigger to look at than it felt from the inside.

Pro: Music, aesthetics (okay look walking around a ship filled with coffins was a bit unsettling and I kept asking "WTF went down here???"), gear, that upgrade item at the end.

Cons: It was pretty easy. I don't mind this too much but I can see some people not being happy about it. Also it's a tentacle dungeon Get the gross tentacles away from me thanks.

It was pretty easy.

It was way more easy that any CT before.

First an second boss was ... ok.

The tentacle boss was the onliest interesting one.

Final boss was a joke.

It was pretty cool looking... I'd say it's more visually appealing than CT was, but it still suffers from the one, single, absolutely debilitating feature that made the CT raids unbearable, especially for Tanks: There's still 24 horrendously inept people gathered in one spot, trolling one another.


In all seriousness, I'm not going to complain about difficulty or anything. It's a casual raid. You get what you paid for, so the saying goes, but it really is insufferable to have that many morons yelling at one another for stupid reasons in the chat box, and I can already tell this is going to have the same catastrophic pitfalls as ST and WoD. There's only 3 tanks, and they have the responsibility of trying to make order out of 24-man chaos. Worse yet, you get a lot of "tanks" who think they're all that and a bag of chips trying to call the shots and be big boys... only most of them suck, so the one good one in the group has to try hold things together while the other two fight for aggro and yell at one another for not doing their jobs, and Tank penis envy only makes it worse.

I've only done one run of this raid so far (mostly thanks to SE's 3.1 glitch-fest), and I went as a Drg for the sake of que times. It seemed okay until about half way through... and then it happened. Tanks yelling at one another, Dps saying the tanks suck (despite Dps being the most mindless job and being in no position to criticize anyone), fights for aggro, people barking orders over one another in the chat box, and the rest of us just sitting in a corner while the morons worked their problems out... It was utter anarchy. I know I'm gonna have to tank this eventually (for the sake of my FC's sanity) but I'm not looking forward to having to fight off all the trolls when the time comes.

Lmao, same exact thing here. Finally the tank in our party decided to put his tank stance on after second boss and I stopped DRG tanking lol

I like the new one, feels more fluid, more like a dungeon than the CT series which was broke into segments for trash and bosses. Not too difficult, we had quite a few people (10+ at least) get their achievement at the end, so for that many new people we only wiped once on the 3rd boss. I think my fav part was the slow warp-jump things. All the other ones just fling you around, the slow seems more dramatic I think xD
