Not really, because people have a split decision on this topic.

What about the half that doesn't want that to be a option in the game?

You just gonna say screw them? You don't care as long as you get what you want attitude? I'll walk on anyone till I get it?

See you can say that about the ones who don't want it, though its not even here to be a option so typically SE going to not choose as long as its a split choice.

SE doesn't really owe us anything really they don't, i think SE has done a good job so far on giving a lot of people what they want and not giving what people want.

    Its their choice.

See, that sort of logic can just as easily apply in reverse; are the people who don't want more male glamour options in the game just saying screw those of us who do? They don't care about us as long as they get what they want? Why would they even care whether or not the options were in the game, since it's not like anyone will force them to use them? How would more male glamour items change their gaming experience for the worse? Because not having them is changing mine for the worse.

The bottom line is, SE has been unfair to their paying customers who play male characters; there's no need or reason for items to be gender locked beyond their own laziness. Their attempt to mollify us was lazy, half-hearted and unfair to both us AND players of female characters. So at this point they're hurting everyone, and I won't stop complaining until they hear us and put some effort into a real solution.

If that bothers you, you should avoid these topics, rather than coming in just to be unhelpful.

If you were to ask all FFXIV players with a male character whether they wanted to have fewer items than those with a female character or the same amount, which is exactly what this comes down to, I think it would be highly unlikely that half of that population would request to have fewer items when there's no drawback to equal treatment. Even if you have no personal desire to wear the locked shoes, cuffs or hats, having the option is nice. I strongly believe that the number of players who don't care or believe in equality would outnumber those who irrationally desire to be treated like lesser customers.

As we have said over and over this has not been S-E policy 'since the beginning'. The unfairness only began in March last year. Anyone who made their character prior to this new policy (and those who haven't been following these threads before signing up, i.e. everyone) was working on the information that their gender choice made no difference to what they would have access to. This turned out to be untrue. The fact that the best solution you can think of is for us to abandon our characters and pay S-E more money to change our character's gender and possibly also our in-game name shows how utterly unreasonable the argument against giving everyone fair treatment is.

Posting this FAQ again as we're getting the same misguided complaints every time this topic is mentioned: http://favoritismfantasyxiv.tumblr.c...ers-have-fewer

The original poster is angry because she is being treated the way that players with male characters are. It's obvious from some of the replies that many players with female characters are (were?) unaware this issue existed even though we guys keep 'whining' about it. Whether you agree that the male-locked Scion outfits are something the other posters should want or not, it's a fact that this entire situation is silly and needs resolving, permanently.
