The terrible stuff about the "elitists" yes, not about how many regular players don't play up to par intentionally apparently.Nah. Even JP has PF for certain parts of the fight.
It's not like he asks for people who've cleared the fight.
He just wants people in the same level of progression as him.
Though he might have better chances of opening a normal learning PF party if the 1st phase is as easy as he said.
I'm pretty sure they're not naive about it. They already know about the terrible stuff associated with NA xD
Though the part about not understanding it when such behavior creates such a terrible community is probably true xD
Not trolling. In JP, it really is standard for everyone to do their best, for everyone to care about contributing to the group as much as possible. On NA, not so much.
The fact that the OP even had to ask this question proves my point. Newer, more inexperienced players are wanting people who have progressed further to set themselves back constantly just for them. They're trying to justify holding others back when they have the tools available to create a group with people like themselves, much like how many NA players try to justify the plethora of reasons they do not contribute to the group adequately. In JP, players completely new to a fight will want to contribute rather than hold back a group, so would not be behaving the way NA players are. They would start groups with others on a similar level of experience in a fight. The NA players in question seem to believe that being completely new is an excuse to hold back a group that isn't completely new and that these groups should drop all the progress they've made for the completely new people. This "cultural mindset" is VERY different from the JP mindset.
This is something existent in the western gaming culture that is simply not existent in the JP culture. In JP culture, everyone is expected to give their best, and usually they do. The JP players berating the NA endgamers simply do not understand that the average player in the west is not like the average player in JP, they have very different mindsets.
But, believe whatever makes you happy :3

This is true, Japan players at least will give their best effort in most cases. By the time you are level 50 or 60 and doing expert dungeons, you are expected to know your roles and rotation. Wiping once or twice on new dungeons is ok, but failing to do your job on trash mobs and bringing down your party because "this is how I want to roll OK, no WM for me as Bard, because I hate it!!" - THAT IS NOT OK lol. So many trollalas in the US servers.
