New additions to the auto-translator dictionary from preliminary patch 3.1 notes.
Is it weird that the biggest revelation I took from Void Ark is that;
Ivalice Espers aren't happening? Cúchulainn, the Impure, apparently just a Voidsent... Kind of makes me wonder what Zodiark is, or how Belias-Egi fits into all of this... Void/World of Darkness versions of the Twelve? I mean for there to be a Belias-Egi, there must be a Belias Primal, right? So Belias wasn't a Voidsent, but one (or more) of the other Ivalice Espers aren't? That's going to bug me... Guess there is always the possibility that Cuchulainn (Void Ark) is to Cuchulainn (Primal) what Shiva (Saint) is to Shiva (Iceheart)...
Still, looking forward to some more Void lore... Interested to see where this takes us next...
So... Scathach speculation? I'm guessing Cuchulainn was put in there due to the relation between the two in mythology... Interestingly, Ferdiad is in there too... Wonder if he'll be showing up in the 24-man raid in the same way Diabolos showed up here?

Now that 3.1 is out and Void Ark many of our questions have been answered
1. Those coffins *aren't* stasis pods of Mhachi survivors, but contains imprisoned Voidsent so in a way some of us were right in thinking that Void Ark was made Voidsent
2. The Ark seems to be a purely Mhachi construct and doesn't have anything to do with Allagan/ a retrofitted Allagan ship
3. Cait Sith plays a role, but seem like he's not a voidsent, but a familiar created similar to how Sharlayans create Porogos
4. The Queen of Voidsent was imprisoned, as well and it seems like her released spells doom to the realm ... although is she on the same level as Cloud of Darkness? I don't think so.
5. Seems like the Mhachi won and started the war, afterall. The predicted and prepared for the great Flood/umbral era. Would have survived had it now been for them losing control of the Voisent
6. Seems like the ark has been fully cleared and the next part of the Sky Pirate saga might be the "Control Tower" we see here?
I have to say, for the 1st time I feel sorry for the Voidsent involved in the War of Magi. We know Void magic was a thing and was used. We know Amdapor used bound Vidsent to create their builds and it seems like Mhachi did the same thing too.
Could this Queen very well be Diabolos lover? He was known as a King amongst Voidsent and it seems like he was freeing his kin. What's most surprising is that Cait Sith didn't now about Diabolos when we mentioned we fought him in Amdapor of all places! The only thing I can think of that the Void Ark was sealed shortly before Diabolos was summoned in Amdapor ... unless Cait Sith is lying

did amapaor used voidsent? I never hear anything about it, they only used white magik
Due to the demon brick minion's description, it was believed by many that Amdapor bound voidsent to create their buildings + the fact that there are more Voidsent there than in Thanalan could indicate that these bound Voidsent managed to escape after so long.
However, when I think of it the description only says its "animated" and with 3.0 we see animated (and speaking) brooms. Would not surprise me if Sharlayans rediscovered such magics to be honest; the library is filled with Voidsent.Demon Wall:
These frightful guardians are the creations of ancient spellcraft, given life when a chosen wall was inscribed with an arcane pattern of blood. Though their masters have long since perished, these sentinels of demonic visage continue to protect the crumbling ruins to which they are bound - to the surprise and horror of many an unsuspecting adventurer.

I think you are confusing the Amapoar people with the Mhach. The Mhach used voidsents to wipe out the amapoar people, Diabolos as an example.Due to the demon brick minion's description, it was believed by many that Amdapor bound voidsent to create their buildings + the fact that there are more Voidsent there than in Thanalan could indicate that these bound Voidsent managed to escape after so long.

The quest series itself is titled "Shadow of Mhach" in the journal, so that pretty much confirms that the next part will be something else. It's also about 1000x more compelling than the Crystal Tower ever was, since it doesn't need to force any parallels to earlier games. It sorta threw the baby out with the bathwater, though, since this "Void" seems almost entirely disconnected from the one we got the mapping achievement for.
I suppose the simplest explanation is that the Allagans didn't know nearly as much about the Void as they thought they did, but I'm still kind of confused at where Scathach fits into the Void hierarchy if we're still meant to think of the Cloud of Darkness as the undisputed top.
