Well, the devs were saying that 'hard' might not be the best mode to do in all circumstances, as it could result in less NMs/boss mobs being cleared in the allotted time and thus less loot. What remains to be seen is if the loot in normal and easy are worth it.

As for land... you're mostly correct. I'm expecting a bunch of houses to free up at the 45 day mark (just go to a housing ward and look how many were half decorated or even not at all), but after that, at least there will always be some in circulation. A limited supply system, well, it should have launched with a decay system already in place.

We were seeing 210 loot in normal last night.

i already enter the normal diadem 5 times, and i210 droped 2-3 times in every run

i can get all the mats (wind silk, pterodactyl, dst) without anyproblem at all

so please dont say its locked when you not even explore the content at all, please

I don't see any reason to defend the decision to lock FC content behind the housing market. It follows:

1. SE has known for a long time that there is a major housing shortage problem on high population servers.
2. SE implements airships as the product of FC housing.
3. FC airships take time to build and develop.
4. SE locks exploration's Hard mode behind FC airships.
5. At the time of exploration's implementation, they implement the house decay system.
6. The house decay system kicks in a month and a half after the content has been out in a best case scenario.
7. FCs that get a house as a result of the house decay system won't have three airships up and running for Hard mode until 2016.

They should have done the following if they were going to lock FC content behind FC housing:
1. Implement new housing areas.
-or-
2. Implement house decay system with the launch of the expansion so that houses would be available well ahead of the content requiring house ownership.

Or, still, they could have made an option for FCs without houses to build an airship through Ishgard itself or through Cid's workshop. Instead, we have the worst of all possible choices. That is my major issue with this. Saying "you can take steps to solve the problem by begging other FCs to take you along, merging with FCs, etc." completely undermines the entire point of the Hard mode version. It's FC content, and no one should have to merge FCs or start splitting FC members into subgroups to run with other FCs because SE gated it behind housing and couldn't implement an option for FCs that don't have a house when they've known about the housing problem for such a long time.

For the record, I'm in an FC that doesn't have a house. We have the members to run the content, but we, as an FC, cannot do the FC content because of the arbitrary housing restriction. If we can snag a house on the day the first house collapses, great; we'll be able to do the FC content as a FC in 2016 when 3.1 is at least a couple of months old at that point. That's just ridiculous.

Again, if your fc took initiative to idk..join other fcs that already have a house and other small non relevant guilds did the same no one or at least most everyone would not have this issue, not to mention that just due to the fact that you dont have a FC house you also most likely wouldn't even have the FC points for a max level airship anyway, and then you'd be complaining about that, which could also be resolved by again joining a bigger FC.

Btw we all want more housing why not add more housing? Unfortunately tho your issue has nothing to do with not enough housing.

Again, if your fc took initiative to idk..join other fcs that already have a house and other small non relevant guilds did the same no one or at least most everyone would not have this issue, not to mention that just due to the fact that you dont have a FC house you also most likely wouldn't even have the FC points for a max level airship anyway, and then you'd be complaining about that, which could also be resolved by again joining a bigger FC.

Actually, the issue is 100% caused by not enough housing, and what you're doing is displacing responsibility onto the player base for what the real problem is.

Not having Hard Mode isn't a lockout from 210 gear. It drops in Normal.

again, why don't you join a FC with house??? you can always save money and jump to get your past FC house when some are for sale or new plot are implemented, and as other people have said, the drops are the same form normal exploration.

Are you seriously advocating leaving the FC I like because SE has a housing problem? Sure, that would fix my problem (at the expense of my friends thus creating another problem!), but that doesn't fix the root of the problem.

em you could invite your friends to the housed FC, also a FC with no house is not much different than a LS, you can always make a linkshell for you FC friends, also theres something called friend list?? heard of that??? no? ok

TC actually has a valid point which is some FCs not being able to buy land due to SE's mess-up with lack of available ones.

There's a difference between not being able to get something even if you have the capacity to and simply not wanting to do it at all even if it's readily available.

Even if you're not missing much with not being able to do hard mode, you're still missing something.

You can still do hard mode as a guest from another FC right??? even if you are not a member???

yup, only one dude form a FC with airship is needed, so, you only need to make friends and are not even required to convert to his/her FC!!!

so no, its not locked behind housing, is locked behind social skillz
