Lots of political tension in Ishgard, as expected. Fundamentalists trying to cling to the old ways of the Church, to the point of trying to assassinate Aymeric and committing arson across the city. And killing kids. Ah. Well, can't say I didn't see it coming...

Not much to talk about with the Warriors of Darkness, disappointingly enough. They beat Ravana, attack us, and disappear. Curiously, the Echo scene before the fight against them suggests they've killed (or at least are capable of killing) an Ascian, yet Darklander clearly being in cahoots with Elidibus says something he said or did swayed Darklander to his cause (though that was already pretty apparent).

And thanks for the assist, Thancred, but I coulda taken him. You're not the only one who's changed - I don't carry this slab of metal on my back for show.

Thancred's back, but apparently he can no longer use magic of any kind, which... could pose a problem. Forbidden magic is forbidden for reasons, Shtola!

Curiously, Matoya's Crystal Eye is here an old Crystal of Light. Which, as stated by Krile, is much more powerful than modern Crystals of Light, suggesting Hydaelyn has been growing weaker over the ages and her death is an inevitability wrought of aetheric entropy. This... is not all that surprising. Enlightening, a bit, but not surprising.

Elidibus is trying to convince Urianger that everything that's happened is fate, using an apocryphal tome titled The Gerun Oracles (XII references again). Well, Elidibus, take your fate shtick and shove it - anything can change! In all seriousness, though, the Ascians seem to think they're correcting fate's flow and Hydaelyn's interventions are defying it, which... is also unsurprising. Just hope Alisae (if that's who that was) turns out to be OK and steps back onto the stage.

Papalymo and Yda fighting Garlemald, likely out of Ala Mhigo. 4.0 CONFIRMED?!?
