I'm awarding you my "dumb post of the week" awardIf you complain about specialist recipes I'm not gonna lie, I will laugh at you.
You can be a specialist for all 8 crafts now, it just takes a few weeks of red scrips. Being able to make every item in the game shouldn't be easy (though ironically, having 8 specialists is still easier than getting every master 2 book was before heavensward).

Lots of surprises here. I wish they would have marked which recipes were specialist ones. Are the new gearsets specialist only? Or is it just some of the housing/glamour items?
ARM only has recipes for Sky Pirate gear, so did they not get specialist recipes, or are some (or even all) of the Sky Pirate recipes specialist?
I guess we'll know after maintenance.
Watch that new bsm ingot be a specialist recipe and watch it be astronomically price.
Can't say I really agree with the idea of specialist-only crafts. That's effectively just tripling the cost/time investment it takes to be an omnicrafter, as now you have to go level and gear crafting classes on two alts just to get back to where you were, and making it that much harder to be a crafter. I certainly don't plan on buying any crafted items that I can't make myself.
which you have to wait 2 weeks to change and too late to get early patch prices. Also the demand is super high (over half the new recipes need them). This would be why people were saying specialists recipes are not good for the economy. Everyone should be able to make them to keep prices down.

It depends. It's not clear which recipes are Specialist ones just yet. I'm more skeptical that we're only going to see only cosmetic items now as specialist Recipes, but given that ARM, GSM, and WVR all need the Ingots, it would cause a lot of problems balance-wise, and I would hope they realize that.
But they may not. They've always had trouble balance available recipes across the classes.
At minimum, it's probably safe to assume that each job got 1 Specialist recipe, which leaves open the possibility that the Manor Oven is Specialist and the Titanium Alloy Ingot is not. As an aside, this suggests that at least one of the Sky Pirate recipes per class will be a Specialist recipe, since ARM *only* got Sky Pirate stuff (probably something like the body, if it's not the whole set).
We'll know more tomorrow. We definitely have more cause for concern now.
It would have been nice if the patch notes indicated which of the recipes are specialist.
Forensic patch note reviewers have noted that ARM recipes are ONLY sky pirate gear, speculating that the entire set may be specialist only (which could then also apply to other crafts sky pirate recipes as well). Given that the sky pirate gear is ilevel 185, it will have low value as usable gear but could be popular as glamour. I'm betting that all sky pirate gear is specialist.
Post patch edit: Called it!
I sincerely hope that none of the materials, like the Titanium Alloy Ingot, are available only to specialist.
I really detest how SE is adding more and more ways to restrict people from content.
