We don't need BRD to be even more homogenized with MCH. They don't nessescarly need instant casts or "more" mobility, espesically when they're more-or-less onpar with MCHin performance.

I get where you're coming from, but given the already-established Bard playstyle and job mechanics, surely MCH should be the one to take the hit to mobility if that's how we're going to differentiate them.
That's sort of the other thing, do you personally think that mobility should be what differentiates the two jobs? I don't mind it being part of a differentiation, but it should not be the foundation. They still wouldn't play differently if you were to take WM away from BRD, but keep GB on MCH (espesically when they can just as easily take it off) when you consider the fact that there are times where BRD doesn't need to move at all until handling mechanics.

Depends on your gear, but you'd at least want to be able to pull 900+ DPS for most of the endgame content. Keep on practicing and remember that Repelling Shot is also a mobility tool and slide casting will get you very far on every encounter as far as needing to dodge goes.

I still wouldn't really recommend turning off WM for something like savage though, especially with the TP issues that come from not having ironjaws. EX primals are fair game though, even before the WM/GB buff BRDs and MCHs didn't have too much trouble clearing it within the first couple of weeks with a typical party comp.Depends on your gear, but you'd at least want to be able to pull 900+ DPS for most of the endgame content. Practicing and slide casting still doesn't change the fact that some people dislike WM. At that point if they wanted to do EX primals, they'd just have to suck it up and hope that SE would actually do something about BRD and MCH's job game play identities, wait for the content to get overgeared/nerfed, or reroll.

I only recently got my (used to be) favourite class to 60, and that's mainly because after getting WM the class just felt completely different and I just lost the motivation to play. The reason I picked bard was mainly for its mobility, and that's just flat out scrapped from the class. I tried the other classes (given, not that much) and they just didn't work for me. Now the bard is just one of many, and not even a good one at that. It feels like a real punch in the stomach every time I play with him now. And the delay doesn't help either, Every time I take a step I have to wait a second to use a skill or the delay interrupts it. I love the story and feel of this game but if I don't start liking any of the other classes this might just have ruined the game to me. That might seems extreme but if you don't enjoy any of the playstyles offered to you it becomes very hard to push yourself through the content.

I have to wonder if the WM GB would be better received if the auto attack downside was removed... so that the cast time hassle would actually put us on par with "real" dps.
Don't feel like starting a new thread so i'm just gonna leave this here, but did anyone count yet if any of the void ark gear makes it to current BRD BiS CRIT set? Thordan weapon is at least better than upgraded eso weapon if you don't have Gordian bow yet.
A quick glance over the stats on the void ark gear through ariyala points to no.
The only thing that could raise your head is the pants, which are 86 CRT + 57 DET, but I'm pretty sure there's not much good way to make up that -66 accuracy loss from the gordian pants.
The only other two void ark pieces that have crit, the i210 piece for that slot also has crit.
Also RIP Berimbau. I'm gonna have to replace that poor thing with the thordan weapon.
Ah ok. So there's no use to waste your weekly rolls on BRD gear if you ain't into that glamour game.
