Hunts, again? Really? *drama starting*

At 770 seals/week from daily hunt and an additional 100 seals/week from weekly hunt, you can progress quite well without joining the zerg at all.
The Clan Mark Log cost 500 seals each, and the upgrade items will probably cost 3 or 2 logs depending on if it's for armor or belt/accessory that you want the upgrade item.

That's less than two weeks for one armor upgrade and a few days less for a belt/accessory upgrade. And that's in addition to how often we can upgrade through Void Ark.

Don't do elite hunts unless you think it's fun to do...

The soldiery upgrade items were 3 and 2, then when poetics were added it became 6 and 4 I believe... Probably to offset that people had capped seals by then.

That's the thing, anyone who thinks that teleporting from zone to zone to bash one button for 10 seconds against a mob that you can hardly see is fun should get himself checked. If only those that enjoyed hunts would do it there would be only a bunch of lunatics hunting the marks, but since it's the only way to get said items without a weekly cap the whole server is there bashing buttons having LOTS of fun.

Well then, do you NEED to obtain the items faster than the capped methods would allow?

Just because it's possible, doesn't mean you should aim for it...

And with island exploration taking up peoples time I don't think it's going to be that bad with the elite hunts.

You underestimate people's desire to have i210 gear yesterday with the least amount of effort involved. Hunts are definitely the path of least resistance; I think they will be very busy (and very toxic) for a short while while the most impatient people get enough upgrade mats for their primary classes and possibly 1-2 secondary. Then it'll quiet down and be semi-reasonable again.

I'm probably just gonna keep doing what I do now - daily/weekly hunts and hit up S ranks when I see 'em or A's when I'm nearby.

That's my plan as well I had a feeling they were going to bring us the joys of hunts again so i've been capped for a long time with centurio seals. It'll be busy for the first while then it'll slowly die down just do your weeklys/dailies and it'll avoid most of the toxicity.
