I think they should have made Alexander BIGGER. yeah! I know he's huge and that may sound like a silly statement.

But in all honesty it's not intimidating big, it's just super cool big, but not "ho God we are going to die" big. IMO Alex should have been ff9 big not only for visual but also for role, Cuz I bet more than one of you wonder how all that space we see on the floor fits on the little cuff or the arm when it's clearly not that big.

If they had made Alexander as big as say ULDA they would have room to make more visually stunning scenarios and interesting arena. + if you a real castle size machine things would have been different.

Well from the ground he is huge, but because we all fly around and he appears small from the air, the effect is lost.

He's also half submerged, Which may change in future releases of Alex, (At least I hope it does).

ho he will, we already have some screenshots of him fully out, but still doesn't gave me the feel he could actually be if he was a giant castle and not just a giant robot.

At this point the one thing that would truly make him a significant threat would be if what we currently see is not actually Alexander, but in effect "Alexander Prime".

So we have a city/castle sized primal who has been abandoned by his followers, and trapped beneath an arbitrarily sized lake. Being a veritable sentient treasure trove of knowledge, it decided to "compact" itself in order to survive longer while silently attracting a new set of worshipers.

Now the goblins arrive, who provide some power to Alexander, but only enough to have his reduced form break a small hole in the barrier sealing him and being to reacquire energy from the land. This is where we are now.

Suppose the next steps are as follows:

    1. Alexander, requiring more power to fully reactivate, requests certain actions be taken by the goblins, who subsequently refuse as they are only seeking to further their own comical goals.

    2. Seeing the unwillingness of his followers, Alexander uses some of the aether he has collected with his arm to temper them, and "upgrades" the Illuminati to better serve his needs, basically makes them into fully sized humanoid cybernetic "goblins" with access to all of his knowledge and intelligence.

    3. The newly upgraded goblins obey his wishes and construct/finish the device to dismantle the barrier using the small hole he punched through it. Once the barrier comes down, Alexander all but instantly drains the aether from everything within half the zone, almost reaching Matoya's cave, and inflicting damage on Idyllshire.

    4. Using the aether he just collected, Alexander pulls his arm/hand back into the lake, then we have the typical "the villain cometh" style earthquake caused by Alexander reverting to his proper form, culminating with him bursting out of the lake, taking most of the ground and a chunk of the nearby mountain with it, as he "rises to his feet"... Of course the view at that moment would have the setting sun behind him, basically creating the "Full Sized Alexander" image we have at the top of page 6 of this thread.

    5. And just to top it off, Alexander still knows the wishes of his worshipers, the "former" Illuminati, who in part wish to see the destruction of the Idyllshire goblins. So Alexander casually glances over at one of the goblin outposts near Idyllshire, and fires a "small" beam at it, leaving a large smoldering crater, and a scorched goblin mask is found a few feet from the crater's edge.

Now we have a threat on our hands.

Nah. Those are machines coming from goblins, so they are also ridiculous. Nothing serius can't come out of them.

Best thing that coud happend woud be finish Alexander story with a new dungeon and them come up with something new for the new raid. This one is probably beyond salvation, and if there's any way to save it, it woud include be taking the goblins out of the equation very very fast.

Allagans are cool, garleans are cool, primals are cool, goblins are ridiculous.
