I always say hello :X Being met with complete silence annoys me to no end, and I'll generally leave the dungeon without giving a commendation. I know that's a bit petty, but I'm not an NPC, and if they can't manage at least a simple "hi" or a wave, I don't feel they deserve it. :X


I love blanket statements as next as the next person, but this is just silly. Plenty of decent replies in here.

I rarely say anything because there's absolutely no point to it when there's a substantially higher chance of you never seeing the people again than of you seeing them again. Meeting the coolest people ever in a dungeon is just a recipe for disappointment in this game because you can't see them ever again without making an alt, which is a pain of its own.

Blame cross server communication not being a thing. If it was possible to talk to people after a run, I'd be far more talkative than I am now in dungeons and so would other people be probably.

Actually, AeraLure's advice was pretty sound. If there are certain situations or people in your RL life that you know will require your attention outside of the game at certain times, then it's probably best to plan your gameplay accordingly and not log in, or afk, during that time. Because I do think it's important to keep in mind that even though rl is more important than game, that shouldn't excuse us from practicing common courtesy towards other players.

Also, I can't be completely sure of intent (internet and all...) but I kind of read Aniforano's post as being tongue in cheek, making fun of that "My game experience is more important than your silly rl situation!" mentality that some players have.

So your telling other to not play their game if they have people walking around their house in where anything can happen? Hmm...guess I can't log in for like...ever, jk. I think I get what your saying though, if you know you have certain things to do or something that may need your attention at a certain time, you should take that to consideration before starting any dungeons or raids. But no, Aniforano said you MUST have someone to take your place if you have to go help someone, and it just sounds like to me someone has priorities mixed up in a blender. Rl sh** happens, game sh** happens, we get over it and move on. No Idgaf about your boss fight stuff, just keep movin.

Why was this thread started? Does the OP expect a nice polite response when he responded with, "idgaf"? Even worse considering the OP has no keyboard so the OP had to make extra effort to type a rude response with the virtual keyboard (giving him more time to think about what he was responding with before he responded in party chat). I don't understand what the point of this thread even is/was.

RL trumps anything going on in game, but if you happen to put yourself in an awkward position, due to a real life interruption, at least be as polite as possible when explaining your situation to your party members.

I'm really surprised people are still posting in this thread. If I knew how, I would've closed it a long time ago after it was resolved.
