Changing worlds: worth it to be in a more active time zone when i play late at night?

EDIT: So I don't want to make this a super long thread but I did have a question I was hoping to get some advice on. I play late at night mostly....11pm-3am ish...and other times. My problem is that my server and world are on the same time zone and there are NOT a lot of night owls running things on Bryn....it gets hard to run anything.

My question:
Should i transfer to another world/server that is maybe more around afternoon or something when i'm playing at night? If so...any suggestions where? I'm on PST...So Cal.

11 to 3 PST... you probably can strike Hyperion off your list.
I always like inviting new friends but I'm afraid the server can be dead as a doorknob around that timeframe.

i play at tonberry and masamune before transferring to balmung, theres barely any english speaking player in masamune. about tonberry, theres a lot of english speaking player there, but at your online time, 11pm-3am pst, theres barely any player there, the population at tonberry is only high at peak time (17:30-23:00 JP time), after past the peak time, the server suddenly transform into ghost town, this only apply to weekday tho, at weekend tonberry is always crowded.

You say there's a lot of people running stuff when you're on, so that might be your best bet imo.

Yeah...I guess the other side of it is I might be a minority in speaking English where I transfer too....

Oh.....in that case yeah you definitely want to find a server that's active and the same general language as you during your playtime

Keep in mind its also more dead as of late due to the fact that 3.1 took so long to come out. Once it hits the servers should perk back up a bit

Maybe... There's that one game that comes out on November 10th that is going to be stealing a lot of people's time for a while. 3.1 may be less lively than most patches, cuz it will be around the same time "that" game launches.

Balmung is pretty boring late at night, not much to do. There's usually only 3-5 listings in the party finder after midnight, even. The weekends occasionally have more people on late, but not always. Short of joining one of the new EU servers or one of the Japanese ones, i'm not sure how many you'll find that are very active late at night. I work nights, so I tend to be on at around 7 or 8 am, and there's NOTHING going on at all.
