dungeons aren't endgame, they are garbage that only pvp games should be able to call endgame cause in reality pvp is endgame and the means to getting gear don't matter as much.

Everquest 1, though I know you are wanting me to say FFXI so yes FFXI's endgame was vastly superior to WoW's. Even Vanguard's APW and early overland encounters were better than 99% of WoW's endgame encounters.

Gear advancement is how MMO's work. Either level cap is raised or new 'teirs' of same level equipment is added. I would expect to eventually discard many pieces of equipment for better in the future.
