I don't like the Gambler's set myself (due to some of it not being dyeable), nor do I like the bunny outfit because I don't like the playboy look, but I can see the argument there. I mean, if females got the armour of Livia sas Junius while males got a stripper outfit I don't see the male player base being too happy either. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The bunny outfit should be usable by males though, the tank Roe sporting pink undies has gotten a little tired, they could do with a new look.

The outfits were both designed to be thematical to the Gold Saucer. Yes, the women's outfits were revealing/bunnygirl outfits, and the male's outfit was made to be a "High Roller" outfit. But I don't know if I'd call that sexist? Some women like to dress up in attractive outfits. Some don't. It's a choice.

I think in the end they gave everyone Setzer's outfit because since the bunny outfit isn't an "official" FF character outfit people would've complained (like when the released Snow and Lightning together)

i think the main agreement for the setzers outfit being unisexes was touched on but it wasn't as a 'choice' or so, a lot of female players found it rude that if guys wanted to dress up they have a smart looking outfit while women were eye candy, and it became a big thing on nearly all of the languages (i think the german threads were the only one not talking about it.) i am still waiting for the male version so i can see say half of the roe player base and some of the male miqo'te fan base use it for a month then forget it exists.

as i said in the other thread about unisexes clothing, lets see what 3.1 will give we don't know if they are hiding a male exclusive outfit to go nuts over

Sure its a choice. The problem is in FF14 almost all of the female glamours tend to be either really frilly or skimpy. You can have attractive outfits without being skimpy or frilly. That leaves a lot less choice.

Flipside you could argue that males don't have much in the way of skimpy or frilly.
