If I'm not mistaken, Wasn't Lost City Hard Mode suppose to be implemented soon? Cause if not in 3.1 I'm going to call shenanigans on this whole 2 dungeon thing.

Then why they would show Diabolos on the Void ark? if he is a coming on Amapoar city HM ?
Also not that Se wanted to give Diabolos a biger role than just a boss on a dungeon?

We freed him from his Prison in Amdapoor, I highly doubt he'd go back anytime soon willingly. I was looking forward to Lost City HM so I could see what happened after we disposed of him.

Where is Diabolos?? Was not he the final boss of the Void ark?

They only showed three bosses. 24-man raids have so far always had four. He's probably the penultimate boss.
Anyway, my reponse to your question is the same to what I posted in the other thread. People of Mhachi probably made a contract with the voidsent (like demons), which most likely had a catch to it... their souls.

Yup, IX was the Ark's only appearance unless you count side-title cell phone games.

It's sentience was never elaborated upon, but presumably it's as sentient as other summons. It's intended to be a foil to Alexander (dark vs. light, airborne vs. land-bound, Terra vs. Gaia). In the same way Alexander transforms from a castle to a giant mech, the Ark transforms from an airship into a mecha.

Where is Diabolos?? Was not he the final boss of the Void ark?

We have a screenshot of Diabolos in the Void Ark, but no context. We can be reasonably sure he's in there, but where and in what capacity remains to be seen.

We only got the first turn so please look forward to it.

I actually read somewhere that the 3.x 24-man series isn't going to be one long continuous story like 2.x's was. In other words, the Void Ark is going to be more or less a standalone raid, albeit connected to future 24-mans and necessary to complete to access the next one(s).

I bet it's more of a sky pirate thing than a Void Ark / Mhachi thing, if you catch my drift.

I'm hoping Diabolos wont actually be a boss, just a more visible Xandes/Cloud of Darkness... Both were mentioned from what I recall (and Cloud of Darkness kinda appeared at the end of ST), but I'm hoping Diabolos will be that kind of antagonist...

What I'm really hoping for, is that Diabolos has the same dreamworld set up as Final Fantasy XI... Lets say those coffins do contain the people of Mhach (though we see one contain something else), and they're in Dynamis to escape the Calamity (pretty much exactly what Dynamis was set up for in XI...), but Diabolos is a Voidsent, and thus evil, so they're effectively being brainwashed/turned into minions... We clear Void Ark, that forces it to land so then have to deal with in something like a Mhach City (the art work for Void Ark showed a spire on a mountain...), then we have to travel to Dynamis and beat Diabolos once and for all to stop him waking an army of Void Mages he effectively controls now...

That said, I'm still hoping Void Ark is stand-alone and Sky Pirates have us visiting the Floating City of Nym next, followed by whatever is happening in West Shroud... I just don't want Diabolos to be a mini-boss in Void Ark...

We know that Allagans did not build qarn, despite it having the same simbols and architecture of whats found in azys la and in the allagan sun temple of frontlines.

It has been hinted that the mhach built qarn, then it was taken by belh'adians.

so, if mhachi made a city, using the same (copying) the architecture of allag. (or devs were to lazy and used the same textures)

taking in mind that, it seems normal for me to mhachi copy allagan the same way garleans do now, but while garleans did with technology. Mhach would have done with the void. i mean, come on, Xandes, the last empreror(and first) goal was to unleash the cloud of darkness. He prolly waged war on meracydia, then used the already existing CT+ the newly made dalamud to feed the cloud of darkness.


i mean, if i had a civilization of black/void mages, i'd probably copy the ones that nearly summoned my goal, or atleast use part of their research.

They compared Void Ark to CT, which means there will likely be 3 tiers of it, with this being the first tier (equivalent of Labyrinth of the Ancients). I hope the final boss is this: http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Ark_(Summon)

Based on what we know of Diabolos it seems like he feed off/ thrives on nightmares/dreams.

Since it seems like those coffins may very well be stasis pods for Mhachi survivors I can see him going there so that he can feed on the sleeping Mhachi dreams. It's in his best interest to keep them alive; hence all he'll have to fight us to protect his "cargo" atleast that might be one of the reasons.

I suspect he might end up being the 3rd/final boss for Void Ark 2 many months from now.

Also, I do believe that Void Ark may very well have been an Alagan vessel that was retrofitted by the Mhachi. Afterall, it does have a somewhat Allagan design. But most importantly, I am sure the 5 Astral Era civilization knew about Allagans, maybe even more than modern Eorzean since they're only 1 Era away from the Allag's golden years

If the Void Ark is a Ghost ship Ala The Flying Dutchman then maybe Diablos is the "Davy Jones" of FF14.
