We're seeking peace now, after a 1000 years of battle with YOU, as dragoon, being the most precious symbol for dragon slaughter... but yeah... lets give you a little baby dragoon to show him how to salughter his ancestors!
Well if they are never going to forgive or forget then they deserve to be wiped out. Maybe Thoridan was right.

Not sure if you've listend to the dragons during the storyline at all... they're getting much older than humans therefor they do not forget and forgive that easly because they dont have the same... "feeling" for time as we have. The lifetime of a human is a second for them - would you forgive the murder of your sister two days after she was tricked, killed and eaten? Would you then be like "oh, I've got this nephew here - may you take care of him and probadly hunt her husband down aswell!"

As Azur-Dragoon - thats what you dragoons are, remember? - you are THE symbol of the war between Ishgard and the dragons. Look at Estinien who was crazy about slaying Nidhogg and by that clearly showing that he didnt believe in a peaceful agreement. I could picture men and dragon working and fighting together one day - but in our lifetime...? Please... no. I understand that you would love to have a cute baby-dragon fighting at your side... but have you seen with how much care they're being raised by their loving, peaceful parents? Why should they, after 1000 years of war, just make a full turn and hand over one of their children to someone who used to be their enemy for decades? Someone whos wearing armor and weapons specially made to slay dragons? Not a lovely woman like Shiva who didnt had any attend to harm a dragon...

I listened to the story but I still think it's a pitiful excuse. The dragons make no attempt to see things through the eyes of other races. The fact that they won't even try to understand them makes me less sympathetic to them. It's actually quite childish. Most adult human beings can understand why others may think the things they do and can see things through others perspective while disagreeing with them at the same time.

The fact dragons are unable to or unwilling to do so may indicate they lack a theory of mind.

That's part of the point on why 3.0 focuses on getting man and dragons to be BFFs again; to see each other's point of views and trying to overcome the long history of distrust each side had of each other. Dragons aren't perfect. Their "never forgive or forget" policy has made them very close minded. Likewise, man hasn't learned from their own past. Ergo, both sides have to get over it and try to make things right.
