Negatory, They are not being removed. The new synths will simply not require that you have them.

Just in case your not aware of how they function now. Not possessing the recommended skill book causes your success rate per action to take a bit of a hit. Its functionally the same thing with synthesis support only not as severe (the game seems to be a bit more forgiving if you have any tier of support)

It seems like they will be shifting it so you will have a baseline fail/success rate (other math magic not withstanding) with support/books acting as well shockingly enough bonuses. at least that's my take on it.

Ah ok ty. I saved up and bought the Cloth Weaving book and when my friend told me the books were being removed it made me kind of 'meh'. Glad to know that I can still do Guild Clothshop + Cloth Weaving book = Rank 29 recipe as Rank 22 ^.^

In which case I can buy my Leatherworking book now, I was saving the marks for after 1.19 so there's quite a supply going :3
