Alright. Let's talk Airship explorations.

How does access work exactly for those: without a FC; with a FC that doesn't have enough members to have a workshop; or with a FC that doesn't have a house due to the bad housing design? Straight PF? If I read correctly, the hardest level is only available to FC airships, which is another slap in the face for those without a house.

I'm really disappointed at the whole FC airship thing to begin with. I have a solo FC that I created before the release of personal housing so I could get access to housing content (the house, stables, garden) but have already been locked out of airships due to the stupid requirement that you have 1 crafter and 3 drones to build the ships.

I think that the ONLY reason that SE requires two FC members in order to send out a FC airship on an exploration is to specifically bar those with solo FCs from participating. It is possible in a solo FC to convince 3 others to just join your party while you make your airship. Those that have done so will now be barred from participating in this activity with their FC airship.

You can go through Ishgard after a quest to do normal or easy modes. I'm not sure if this matches you up with others on your data center or not.

You can also party finder to go through Ishgard to do normal or easy modes.

You can find 2 people in the same FC that has unlocked Hard mode with their FC and go into their party to do Hard mode.

You can also do Easy and Normal mode with the above method but it might be easier to just go through Ishgard.

You can also form alliances as well when you tackle these, but each party has to have 2 members of the FC which has unlocked Hard mode if you're doing Hard mode I believe.

This is how I understood the PLL, but something might have been lost in translation so I might be wrong.

They designed workshops so you need 4 to progress. And 2 from the FC with the airship before leting others join in.

Gasp. Because SE hates 1 man FC Gasp. I know right isn't that unfair? I mean it's not like FC houses are ment to be for groups what wer they thinking. Yes this is sarcasm.

Ps. This is not aimed at you but with all the one man FC's who are complaining about this.

Well, as I said in my post, I am a one man FC and I am complaining.

I made my FC because there was no personal housing yet and I wanted access to that content (I mean, what is it about colouring your chocobo that this should be restricted to only FC's?) and did not want to repeat the bad FC experiences I'd had to that point. I am not responsible for the failure in SE's housing design - I took the initiative to work within the system so I would not be excluded from content.

SE are now bending over backward to find more ways to restrict people from content. I don't see how that encourages people to subscribe. Very strange business strategy IMO.

You are not restricted to anything. Make some friends, or use party finder to find 2 people in the same FC that have unlocked Hard mode exploration. It won't be that hard especially since by Christmas time the inactive FCs will have been removed from housing. If you're a solo player that is a 1 player FC member, then you should already be used to using Party Finder to do stuff.

Well, as I said in my post, I am a one man FC and I am complaining.

I'm saying because your in a one person FC that you have no right to complain because this is ment for group content.

I have nothing against group content. I do group content each and every day! What I have issue with is forcing people to make "permanent" associations with other players along with the politics of those groups in order to access content. If I had an airship in my FC (technically 2 members, not 1) I would gladly be sponsoring even more group activity.

FYI a community rep just I'm formed us in another thread that the 2 member per ship was a translation error. You only need 1 FC person to fly the ship not 2. I hope that helps some. (Any Exploration LS out there?)

Calling it now, the PF is going to be pretty much overrun with Exploration sales "parties" from day 1.
