    And I'm saying that the ISP has NO reason to make any sort of amendment to the connection that's running as needed otherwise. It'd be one thing if service was being disrupted in everything internet-related, but when everything else is running just fine and it's just this one area that is the responsibility of Square-Enix and it's server choices, then even the ISP is going to say no can do, buddy. All your technical explanations are doing is serving to confuse most of us who have no idea what you're talking about or how to even utilize it even though you're obviously trying to help here. But it isn't helping, and we need an official fix to this rather than us running around like headless chickens trying to figure this out on who to ask for what.

    I was about to start my own thread and then I saw this I one, so I thought why not since I'm on Balmung myself. I started having lag issues more than usual the past few days, but it wasn't so bad that I couldn't run dungeons and content. Just the occasional 2-4 seconds screen freezes and slow response times when interacting.

    However, last night the lag and connection were so bad I could barely do anything without freezing for more than a minute followed by 90002 errors.

    I know, crazy right. I was never getting this till last update. They just made a post about EU server but what about us in the NA servers. Its like, they just totally forgot about us.

    I also want to point out is that NA players are getting no lag in the EU servers which makes no SENSE.

    Edit: Specifically, Faerie in the Northwest US using Comcast

    You have to open a command prompt (DOS window). You can do that by typing "cmd" and hitting enter in the START>"Search Programs and Files" box under the windows button on the lower left corner of your screen.

    In the black command prompt window that opens, you want to type "ping 199.91.189.139" (no quotes) and hit enter. That will ping the Balmung server (sometimes you have to do it several times to see an undesired result). You can also do "tracert 199.91.189.139" (no quotes) at the command prompt and that will show the route between your computer and the Balmung server (as well as the times it takes in milliseconds). Tracert takes about a minute to complete (and, again, you may need to run it more than once), so be patient.

    At first I thought it was just for European customers, but reading it more carefully it seems to be for connection issues in general since the launch of the EU data center.
