Exactly R 1-50 shouldn't be easy yet since R50 is current cap. In your original post you were only complaining about how long it takes to get to 50 right now, which like I said is completely fine.

There are plenty of people hitting R50 just fine with the current system, find a linkshell, make friends, get partying.

Im cool with making the grind to 50 easier. The main people who will disagree here are the people who have 50s already. They dont want you to make their grinding they did on their pixel man/woman less valuable. Gotta keep that Epeen big you know.

I have 8 crafts at 50. All I did was watch T.V. and spam standard for easy mode synths. Enjoy leveling those crafts in 1.19 and beyond everyone!

Solo isnt the best option to super grind, but duo or trio is more or less awesome.

Now im not gonna do this by any level to level rate, but just mere suggestions.

    * Behest with 1-2 friends (where not many players are located at the time)
    * find the best area with lot of mobs that dosent take more than 2min /kill.
    * Know your & your party members classes, and especially your enemy.

What i mean by that above one is, learn (remember) how the mob fights/acts,
what it will do after a few seconds into the fight...

All monster gain TP for each landed hit on it, and sooner or later will execute a TP skill.
(if you know when, you can stop it or predict when it will be executed)

There's also another thing to consider if playing mage, learn wich spells is most useful to opposite elements.
Like if you fight a "Pudding" mob, they change their elemental status/defence randomly during the fight.
As Mage you must counter attack with the opposite spell in order to avoid healing it by mistake.
(becasue you picked wrong element to attack with)

So ya there's alot of hidden things many (especially new players) dont know about.

One last thing, use "AoE" cauiously, and if you are a mage always know whats behind / around you.
There's no reason for a Mage just to stand around healing if the mage have sleep and can prevent other
nearby mobs to aggro on the currently active fight.

(so ya, the Sleep spell is there for a reason, as is Chainspell)

    - Sorry for any typos
don't forget as a mage if you have been doing thm and change and start doin con remember to look behind you lmfao. when i first started con i was in constant aggro because to the cone in front as opposed to anything within the aoe range.

I want to reach 50 in less then 1 month of casual playing. I don't want to reach 50 with a casual playing time in 12 months. Sigh
Two thoughts that you presented which deserve merit: fatigue threshold being reached much sooner after they increased SP gains, and lacking end-game content. The guildleve timer of 36 hours is just fine, and needs no adjusting. Did you play any of the console FF's? Grinding was a central element in them from the beginning, and one of my favorite parts of those games since the combat systems have always been enjoyable. Maybe you would be better off playing another game that rewards instant-gratification casual gamers with an entitlement complex. Personally I hope FFXIV or any of the FF titles never cater to that crowd.

sure we have a 50 class, but as you see not all of our classes are 50 so we are still leveling classes. i just don't think you should be able to reach cap in a class in less than a month. my reason behind it is what happens if they postpone the ps3 another 6 months and be the time it comes out i bet it will be another 3-6 months before the cap rises. this would have alot of people with all classes maxed out to 50 with absolutely nothing else to do besides nm fights or find another game. when the cap rises i do not have a problem either raising sp for sub 50 or even reducing the amount of sp you need to level. i just think it would be bad for the game to have a bunch of people with 50's in everything before the ps3 version is even released.

    Oh almost forgot....

There's also an "Elemental Wheel" in place, this explains wich elements beats the other.

The information can also be found in books located in the Conjurer & Thaumaturge's guilds.

    * Fire melts Ice , but is extinguished by Wind .
    * Water erodes Earth , but is boiled by Lightning.
    * Lightning boils Water, but is grounded by Earth .
    * Wind extinguishes Fire, but is obstructed by Ice .
    * Earth grounds Lightning, but is eroded by Water.
    * Ice obstructs Wind , but is melted by Fire.

    Easy Version...

Fire » Ice » Wind » (fire again)

Lightning » Water » Earth » (Lightning again)

Im not 100% sure about the Thaumaturge elementals thou.
But im sure it's Light & Dark.

I'm sure the difference in ffxi is you did it in a party. With the max rank being 50 I don't see why anyone would want to hit max rank in just 2 days. In FFXIV, Try partying, it makes a big difference.

Well some maybe but well the ones that have r50 classes are the ones that
have been playing since release, and not given up.

I still find it fun to grind other jobs ive just been abit busy helping others,
and i do alot of exploring and well that takes much more time than i spend on leveling / grinding.
