Another definite "no" on glamour log.

Its cute that some people still think there is an actual issue with expanding inventory in this game and not just a lot of vague cover-story excuses being repeated over and over while they keep expanding it only for those that pay extra.

Whats the max amount of extra rent retainers we can get now, 8? To this day, how many times have they otherwise increased inventory?

While I love this game, I don't think I've played anything else since I bought it, I'm starting to become aware of a lot of unexplained limitations like this that I don't understand. I've seen other MMOs implement this sort of thing just fine, I don't understand why FFXIV seems to be at it's feature capacity.

PS3 hates us, my friend. They can't add more inventory space for free (It's made to where it can handle the amount of retainers, but adding more can cause a problem.) When PS3 gets dropped, they most likely will be able to.

Some people will remain in denial forever before admitting something they hold dear has flaws unfortunately.

I honestly only care about Retainer inventory space because that's where all my old gear (which I keep only for Glamours) is, and where I keep all my crafting materials/materia/etc. I don't need more Retainers for space, if they could work it so stuff in my Retainer inventory can be used for Crafting/Glamours, I'd be golden.

Even my default player inventory, I don't care about expanding... What I do care about expanding? The Armoury Chest, since that is where my Gear Sets reside, and being a PvPer means I could effectively double my number of combat Gear Sets. The Armoury Chest currently has 25 spaces, I have 3 Gathering Classes, 8 Crafting Classes, 13 Combat Classes. That comes to me using up 24/25, throw in PvP sets and I've only room for 1.

The only thing I need the developers to do, is to double the size of my Armoury Chest. That's it. The 100 inventory spaces I have is perfectly fine by me, as would the Retainer space be, had we been given something like a Glamour Log... Wouldn't a Glamour Log even be simpler to introduce? A Glamour Log just needs to store visual data, literally just the Glamour for any gear. Meanwhile, storing the actual gear, you have to store its stats, Durability, Spiritbond data, potentially any materia... That seems like more data to store to me... Heck, look at the Crafting Log, you could literally piggy-back a Glamour Log off that, just say "After you make this once, you always have that option available for a Glamour", only applies to crafted gear, of course, but that is better than me bogging down my inventory with stuff like Glacial Coats, which already exist in a Log...

Then, of course, comes Glamour Prisms... OK SE, you are apparently unable to fix inventories... Fine, can I ask you why you decided to give us thirty five varieties of Glamour Prism, then? Aren't things bad enough, without you going; "You need this specific Glamour Prism in order to cast this Glamour, and a completely different Glamour Prism to cast that one!", when Glamours should effectively be no different than Self-Repairs? I carry one stack of Grade 6 Dark Matter on my character, and that covers all repairs. Even if gear can be repaired with Grade 2 Dark Matter, I can use Grade 6 Dark Matter all the same, similar system for Materia Melding, come to think of it. That is how Glamour Prisms should function. If I want to casually change Glamours, I should be able to do so without bloating my inventory with all the gear and various Prism types... Instead, it's absolutely insane to expect me to carry 35 different types of Prisms around in case I want to change Glamour, so I don't. Instead, casting a Glamour is something I have to plan out, I have to check what Prisms I need, then get those Prisms and cast it. I cannot, for example, effectively go "In Coerthas I want to wear the Glacial Coat, but in Costa del Sol, I want to wear a swimsuit", and just cast Glamours when I arrive in such zones. I have to stop and work out what I need to get to cast a Glamour... The system is complete and utter pants, please fix this, if nothing else...

And LOTRO as well, with the best wardrobe system I've seen. I was really surprised to see this game doesn't have a wardrobe system on par with the others. It feels like a huge limitation to me, that I can't have my character look any way I want, regardless of level. For me, it makes the game much less enjoyable than it could be.

This is likely the crux. Rather shameful for a sub-based MMO.

It never fails to amaze me how incapable SE is of implementing functions tons of other MMOs manage readily.

This is really rubbing me the wrong way. Yes I understand that not every feature we want can get implemented but when the issue we seems to get for everything item related all it is is 'server problems'. How about you upgrade the servers then to handle it better? Why wasn't this planned beforehand? As someone else stated, Square Enix say about inventory storage or whatever but why on earth have you added 30 Glamour Prisms when at least one is needed? It makes no sense.

At the very least, make it so I could speak to an NPC or something to tell me what gear I have has been equipped and then restore it freely. At least I could then empty my retainers as I'm sure currently, a lot of space is being taken up by them in general.

They should stop everything..........Personally, I would be 100% fine with another Dalamud crashing down if it meant that when the realm awoke again most of these "limitations and limits" were gone.

That and other useless items that were also mentioned like potions and phoenix down.

How can DC Universe online, which has always been varying levels of trainwreck, have an easy to use cosmetic system, but this game can't manage it?

Focused too much on such a needless feature. Sure give it some attention, dont let the core game suffer because of the time spent on it.
