The relic quest is going to be some half-assed grind with a shoddy story, not exactly what I'd consider meaningful content.

and yet tons and tons of players are going to do it anyway, so its still content that will be done by the playerbase. You cant just assume its going to be stupid and then disregard it as incoming game content, its still something for the players to do

Yes, they're going to do it due to the lack of meaningful content. I never said it was "stupid", nor did I say I was disregarding it, I'm simply stating that it shouldn't be considered something special. The person was listing off content, the last few relic steps have probably taken less than a half a week to develop, most of them don't even have new weapon models.
