Obviously most of the guys are taking the position of people who left the dev team of XIV to work on DQX.
XIV is the perfect fit for a new dev because it's a low responsibility job. The experienced guys can work on a new project this way minimizing risks.
Either way at least they are hiring that can only be a good thing no matter how you look at it.
Umm... low responsibility job? Not to pick at straws but I'd imagine atm FFXIV is probably on S.E's high priority list of things to do right. That's why the dev team are putting so much content into the patches, to make the game the success it should have been at launch, and why they need additional workers to push it harder and make it fabulous.Obviously most of the guys are taking the position of people who left the dev team of XIV to work on DQX.

I love the way so many here claim to have the slightest idea in why SE or any milti-million dollar software would do anything.........
That being said the title of the htread is moronic in itself.
Abriael man I thought you loved XIV, I wouldnt of titled it Failing, I think they just want to speed things up along.
I've been saying all along they will fail pretty hard if they dont hire new talent and that is just because the single current time isnt enough, its evident through programming logics and update speed. More will help, even if its a few it will help a lot.
Very glad SE are doing this. I've been bashing on about it for a while!
Damn.. close this useless thread already..
Company's grow. SE is growing. That is good.
You may want to know that Dragon Quest X has been in full production for years, so no, there's no suddenly hiring devs now to replace those suddenly moved to Dragon Quest X for some obscure reason.Obviously most of the guys are taking the position of people who left the dev team of XIV to work on DQX.

There's no signal of devs in those position moved to other projects, so there's no reason to assume that.
Unless,of course, one wants to artifically spin it negatively, which is what you normally try to do
I think next time I'll bring the "sarcasm" sign alongSome people are a tad slow on the uptake

Exactly.
FFXIV may have failed at some points but absolutely it's nothing like when it was released, so I would never say FFXIV is failing rather than it's going to be what we expected to have at the beginning and even better. SE is a huge company and they released many successful games before and still do, so hiring new employees doesn't necessary means they are 'failing'.
Yuki,
yes, some people definitely need to increase the sensitivity of their sarcasm radar.Exactly.

Yuki,
I'll help you guys with a handy paraphrase of the title of the thread:
"Square Enix is hiring people for the team, investing more resources, which is a clear signal that the game is NOT failing"

Lesson learned I hope. Now you know sarcasm isn't easily read.
