Over the course of the story, every single mention of the Scions takes place outside of the city they all disappeared in.
Why should they? Even us, don`t believe the Scions are dead. If they would be, there would be corpses. Just means all Scions are still alive. Question is: Just what happend to them?

Where got Thancred teleported through Y`shtolas spell?
Yda and Paps, maybe arrested somewhere?
    Minfilia...maybe the Ascians took her?

I`m sure we will see all of them until 3.5.

Outside of the guards and a few notable members of the Syndicate, nobody in Ul'Dah knows anything about what happened. Why should common people on the street tell you otherwise?

You don't really deal with those "who know" in the Heavensward story. You know you're in a "real world" when everything is not explained in full to your satisfaction. Besides, we haven't even got to the "and they lived ..." [happily? unhappily? go check Into the Woods for perspective]

That being said, this is ultimately a matter of personal preference and having options. It's fine that you don't understand, I think we have entirely different leveling preferences and that's okay.
Low level roulette, high level roulette, story roulette and trial roulette should bring you to (or near) lv 51 with no FATE grind.

I can vouch for this as I did it yesterday on warrior. It got me close enough that Guildhest Roulette plus the gold fail exp from We Fought a Dzu (65k or so to a level 50) was enough to level me up to 51. Thinking on it, I may have skipped high level. I can't remember.

Either way, 50-51 is really easy. :3

1.) Yeah. Everything related to what happened at the end of 2.5 in Ul'dah is completely, instantly, and inexplicably taken back. For no apparent reason, other than back pedaling. You'd be entirely correct to call the whole affair sensationalism, because that's what it was. It was shock story telling, told SPECIFICALLY to shock the reader and do virtually nothing else.
The Scions being missing makes virtually no sense. Lolorito's plan simply involved making them leave for a bit, not making them disappear, their disappearance revolves around the Crystal Braves having an unfounded inexplicable hatred for the Scions. The only lasting effects of the entire 2.5 arc, that isn't held together by complete contrivance, is that Teledji is dead, and it could have been done by much more simple means.
Much less, You have characters like Raubahn getting berated by one character for "acting out of his line of duty" for murdering a man who made it very clear he has assassinated the Sultana, when another character JUST SAID they manipulated Raubahn into doing it FOR HIM. The amount of stupid of every single character in that scene is mind-boggling.

Heavensward itself works fine. But the drastic back-pedaling of the plot of 2.5 is best forgotten. They did their best to try and explain the backpedaling, and it stands out like a sore thumb with how bad it is, but then they accept it and just move along.

I was going to reply everything you said because you are wrong on almost everything, but I didn't want to make such an acid reply, so I'll sum it up a bit.

About the story: it's your opinion and taste. I like the story and I'm ok if somebody dies, if Scions disapear etc... that's how story works.

You say that Bahamut and Ultima are used to be super strong. Here I start to think that you're a skipper and never read the story at all. Bahamut is a primal, therefore he's a fake version of the real thing. We don't know how the real bahamut looks, only Tiamat knows. And about Ultima (PLEASE READ THE STORY, C'MON) it was made by the Garlean using the information from the Allagan, so the Ultima we fight against is not the real thing. Have you seen Proto-Ultima in Azys-Lla? Yeah.

The "omg I'm so good and people sucks in DF" Then do that content with friends just like I did. And if you have no friends then you have a more important problem before thinking about DF. Anyways, you have Partyfinder to find specific people. DF was meant to be something to help new people.

Yes, website sucks. Yes, SE needs to put a real effort against botters.

Skill bloat? There's enough space for everything. Invest 5 minutes on the UI and you'll find a way, because I have 0 problems with that and I'm a Scholar that needs to use the Fey skills.

Dragoon skills... they're meant to be a compo to refresh the +% damage on jumps. Is that too hard to understand? Also, if you don't like it you can always use the old combo, except you'll end up doing less damage on long fights.

Gathering/crafting for red scripts may be a pain, yes.

Again, DF was meant to help new/unskilled people. You can go with friends or PF if you want something specific.

About the Workshop needing 4 crafters, oh my god... what will be next? will you ask SE to make Alexander Savage in a 4 player mode?

So to sum it up: you're a kind of player that doesn't read/understands the lore, a player that skips content on purpose (typical user that caps only with experts, ignoring Alexander NM, Savage and PVP), a player unable to make PF or find friends to do stuff. It's not SE's fault, it's yours.

You bring some valid points with the website, item storage and maybe red scripts. But you're wrong on the rest because it seems like you're not playing the same game as me.

When I want to cap points, I do an expert, then some PVP to do different stuff. I get some points on Alexander NM to gear some offspec, and then others from Alexander Savage. All you do is spamm the same dungeons over and over again because YOU want to.

I also only agree with a few things, the hunt log being one of them. Would have been nice to have one for 50-60

I was specifically talking about the relevant people you interact with during the Ul'dah quest line (e.g. Raubahn and the members of the Syndicate or whoever those other Lalafell were who were also in on the loop). I can understand the Sultana and maybe even Raubahn not saying anything to you, but Lolorito? He knew Teledji's plan, stood by and watched as you and the Scions were being framed, and he literally does not say anything to you when you run into him Hell, you and the Scions mean so incredibly little to that story that there's arguably no point in the player actually being there other than to witness the deux ex machina with the Sultana.

Again, my issue is not that whole missing Scion storyline didn't get wrapped up or anything like that. My problem is that, despite all the witnesses, not a single person even acknowledges what happened in the place everything happened.
