EU move added 150ms, can no longer tank - suggestions for a new main?

I play with 250ms and I'm really surprised yours is much worse now; 400ms is awful. I really hope it's just down to teething problems and it settles down to a more manageable level soon so you can play the job you want.

Even with my slightly lower ping, the latency is noticeable for BLM (you can't even queue the IV spells until they're 'unlocked' by the two buffs they require, which means that in a laggy situation you have a harder time keeping your rotation working smoothly) and for MCH, as procs will register more slowly than is ideal. It's a shame as I felt that BLM was quite resilient to high latency until the new mechanics arrived.

To answer your question any job that does not need constant combos for its dps: Summoner, Blackmage, Bard or Machinist. I can only speak for bard as I don't have machinist unlocked but I assume it plays the same. On monk and dragoon, lag can cause combos to register slow and screw up your dps.

Can't speak for the others, but BLM has some big issues with lag too.

Can't count the number of times I've Transposed, it ate the CD, but lo and behold, I'm still in Fire with no MP. Huge DPS loss and huge annoyance when that happens.

I'm on a clean one gig line too - moving up to ten gig in march. You kinda gotta laugh.

Can just recommend you to use ping improvers kile WTfast or battleping. It's what I did while the servers were still in US.
