After trying everyday to get a group or get in a PF group for Ravana Ex, one particular group last night let me in, although they wanted "NO BONUS". Ended up getting three Totems with them.

Today, however, I joined a group, and never saw Sword phase. I wasn't upset. I'm just glad there are people out there who still give players new to content a chance. Don't know if I should continue to get into every group, though, as I have no use for the weapon (since I bought the Eso weapon). I'll run it from time to time for more practice maybe.

Got my first A1S clear in a "no bonus" group after asking them friendly ... we oneshot it

Yesterday another A1S group with my FC mates... we wipes 1 hr at 2%-0,5% even 0,0001% due to minor derps... then someone had to leave party lead asked if anyone wanna retry and we all agreed on another try after reform and a 15-20min break (our brains were busted and we all were hungry ;_; ). With the new member we 2 shot it \o/

The DRK tank I had pulled Tioman to the back of the arena on meteors! ^^ Was happy to see a proactive tank on Tioman.

So you can't run? Are your keys bound that you can't move? You would prefer to heal the meteor damage on the whole party over helping the boss fight to go faster? Why are you standing in meteor damage?

There's no meteor damage(assuming you mean the "T5-like" attack) if the bombs are placed at the entrance. And if there is damage, it is minimal and Medica II regen can take care of it. Just going by the 4 Sohm Al runs I had today.

The meteor damage is greatly reduced the further you are from them, if the tank pulls him to back wall this gives the entire arena to run from meteors (even worse when stupid people drop them at sides). If the tank holds him at middle everyone takes a cleave to the face when trying to minimize meteor damage or eats high damage meteors.

Healer should be near middle of arena anyways, not right at the entrance edge, if you do this tank will be in range, though you might need to step up slightly for a medica/helios to hit them, but that's something you should practice for damn near every encounter in this game sooo...... git gud?

After running Sohm Al way...way...WAY too many times yes. Tanking Tioman at the far side is the best method. And I've run all three tank and all three healer jobs through it. Tanking her mid is just asking for trouble.

Its the method I prefer and my preference... after leveling 2 tanks 5 healers (alt char) a lot of DPS classes yes its how I like it no need to blame me...
My XP is tank not using CDs and dropping like shit at the far end.

Besides I thought this meant to be a happy thread no strat discussion where opinions ALWAYS differ.

Every run with friends no matter how derpy and how many wipes are good

So about two days ago I q'd up for expert. Got fractal. Me as my war, a smn, nin, and ast. First off, in beginning before we even started, one of them complimented me on my glamour. Augmented chest, which sparkles n shines. Right there I knew this was gonna be good group. Lol. I grabbed mobs at a good pace, we cleared to boss in 15mins. I grabbed the final boss and as I always do, pull him to corner. So when tiles light up its only the two sides, leaving the rest open for them to have space n dodge. To my surprise tho, they commented that's a good idea as they never seen that done like that. Which struck me odd. We cleared effortlessly, 3 commendations. Great group!
