I'd have expected an announcement before now if that were the case. They usually give us some advance notice. Then again, if they don't get it started soon, they're going to miss the season for it, so maybe you're right.

For announcements you have to wait until the Lodestone maintenance end.

Most likely they want to see Chaos come back up without any problems before they announce an event date. We Europeans would throw a riot - and with good reason - if we got locked out of the event and whatever unique items are launched this year because our servers didn't take well to being moved.

I'd expect there'll be no announcements, special events, or new things coming until they have the chaos move sewn up.

So you would be happy if they delayed a different event for the US servers and ran it on the EU servers first?

I remember on game forums (not ffxiv) EU gamers complaining that certain games where getting released earlier in the US, the US gamers reply was basically "deal with it". Then there was a game that was initially released in the EU and the subsequent rage from the US gamers was hysterical due to the irony.

If anyone remembers last years event, I could totally see the NPC characters responsible for holding All Saints Wake completely forgetting about getting ready and wind up being late on starting it.

Lets at least wait till weeks end eh? we have till the 31st and on top of that there is no reason to think the EU servers will slow anything down or not run fine. But you can be sure if they need to hold the event back for fixing things 3.1 will be held back as well

Well, that's certainly something... Not quite what I meant though...

Guess if I didn't already own a house I'd get hyped over this, though maybe not, since this is 45 days away from 3.1, I'd be more hyped over new wards...
