The "Three Gods of Fighting" are so named because there are three at that location, not because there are only three in existence. There could be three dozen "gods of fighting" scattered around other places and they would still call the three in Azys Lla the "Three Gods of Fighting."

being odin the ''pinnacle'' of a champion. it makes sense that the sword is the real eikon and odin the primal summoned to the vessel body. (in this case, the person that defeates him, in the story the person that stole it in gridania.)

feels like more ... finding a decent body so the eikon can summon the primal again.

i also remember a vague comment of koji fox like ''odin is something diffrent'' when they spoke something regarding the sword too. i think they refered at it not being a primal... its complicated.

That's a possibility too. But the one thing that is clear, Zantetsuken it's self seems to be what makes the thrall into "Odin" so be it Primal or Eikon Zantetsuken seems to be the real threat. But how does one destroy a blade with out touching it?

My guess? Give it to the guy immune to tempering and tell him to deal with it >_> IF what Zantetsuken does is tempering, anyway

Somewhere, Lahabrea just rolled over in his grave at the thought of the WoL with even more power.

If nothing else, the blade would provide a wellspring of aether for the next time the Ascians reared their heads.

We have never "defeated" the sword, only the body that it steals as it's host. Keep in mind that Zantetsuken is never target-able in either the FATE or the Urth's Fount Trial. We do ZERO damage to the blade. We never attack it. We never get the chance to attempt to destroy it. There's nothing to say that Zantetsuken cannot be destroyed from the physical world, because we've never actually had an opportunity to attempt it.

From the FF wiki about the Warring Triad: Demon, Fiend and Goddess. In FFIX they were referenced as , Truth of the Devil, Promise of the Evil God and Illusion of the Goddess.

They never actually had names but might have been loosely based on Susano'o, Amaterasu, and Tsukuyomi.

It's sounds like two of them may have become known as Zodiark (Devil) and Hydaelyn (Goddess) while always being at odds with each other. That makes me wonder if the statues were summoned representations of the two. However that leaves the identity of the third idol a bit of a mystery. Unless they are there because someone tried to pull a Kefka way back in the day..

As for Odin.. I'd still like to know what would happen if Gilgamesh happened to be the next random guy that picks up Odin's sword. An 8 legged horse or awkward moments of arguing with someone who isn't there.

Holy flying chocobos...now that is an interesting idea. Somehow 'purify' it and turn it into the blade of Light...
