I have updated the guide with an extra chapter to accommodate leveling crafters who did not have Best-In-Slot gear sets from ARR. Hopefully the new guidelines here will help them bridge the gap better between level 50 to level 51.![]()

Updated the guide lately with a valid macro for 1 star items. The macro uses 12 hasty touches, and can afford 4 failed hasties. It's been giving me very consistent HQ rate. Personally, even if 3 hasties fail, I still get IQ10, which gives 100% HQ rate. When 4 hasties fail, I get about 91% HQ rate. And when 5 hasties fail, I get about 68% HQ rate (which is not bad).

Hi I am just getting into crafting and stumbled into Specialist. I started the quest from MD, turned it in to the guy at the Pillars and selected my lvl 60 culinarian. After doing this, I now see the specialist in my tabs but is empty.
Did I miss something somehow? How do I actually get the actions for it?
After you receive the soul for the class you want (I guess in this case the soul of the culinarian), you have to equip it like you do a job stone. This will "change your class" and let you access the specialist skills.Hi I am just getting into crafting and stumbled into Specialist. Hey Caimie, just wanted to say you did an excellent job on the XIV Realm podcast! It was very nice hearing from an advanced crafter as most podcasts think of crafting as a boring topic. You gave the show some life in a time where there wasn't very much FFXIV news to talk about.
I really hope you consider becoming a host and as they suggested have a crafting segment at the end of their shows. I know myself and many others would appreciate a podcast that embraces crafting as a whole and i feel like there is an opportunity here to not only accomplish that but to aslo extend the reach of your guides to other audiences, beginners and mastercrafters alike. Crafting is in a stale state at the moment and i feel as though this could help the community stay positive and motivated moving forward throughout Heavensward.

DOH! Got it thanks! Sorted inventory looking for it and assumed it would be listed last, not at front like it was
Thanks so much for your support! I will consider collaborating with them more in the near future! ^_^Hey Caimie, just wanted to say you did an excellent job on the XIV Realm podcast! Oh, I was thanked. Now I feel all mushy.
Despite the pursue of early knowledge that I embarked upon, I haven't really delved in 2 star stuff even today. It's still way too pricey in both time and money! I can't do that, and I really wish I could've been more helpful later down the road rather than just first impressions and ideas. Maybe after 3.1 comes out there will be things in which I can delve again. For now I'm just buying my red scrips gear, way too afraid to sink in so much work into i170 (and the melds! Oh god, the money!) only to have it horribly fail. Monstrosity 3.9 stars felt like the end boss of ARR, but I was less scared of those than utsclaspmi170 (Ultimate Time Sink Class-specific Meldable i170)!
