actually my quote was pertaining to the position of the producer and the idea that having vision is a necessity. However should you want a response for your quote:
I hold a rigid belief that FFXIV is only going to get better
Userhalfamillionstupidnumbers has a rigid belief that the game will only become more and more broken
I would win however, and I also have the rigid belief that he is 1: wrong in his belief and 2: too stupid to realise it
the first producer HAD vision. his long-term ideals were over-complicated and unrealistic.
Yoshi-P is less of a visionary and more of a doer. He is responsive to current situations and adapts his ideas to fit current situations, which seems to be getting a better outcome.

Because you decide what constitutes a valid vision.that isn't a vision so much as saying "you can do everything any way you want". And further the game said that @ release even when it wasn't true. I'm hoping for an actual description of Eorzea. Not just a vague statement. Vague statements will not get people interested in the game. A description of a besieged-type constant-war between Ishgard + Dravania might. Or even saying "A year from now I see Ishgard open, and a new mission-line being implemented to go with it" might make people interested.
Put in simple terms, if people will look at this game, SW KOR, GW, etc, what about this games future will make them think "that sounds awesome". As opposed to the way people think now which is "hmm.. i hope they fix that"
What makes a game special isn't the same as a vision.
No. Simple as that.

It takes a lot of imagination to play Final Fantasy XIV.
very happy this post may have played a part in getting some answers this month.it is well needed and looking forward to all the things we learn. .
These forums are all about bickering.
Thanks for this. Can't wait for the worthless fluff.
