is there a dsp that is especially welcome? are there any dps jobs that people wouldn't mind have two of the same?

It depends for what purpose...?
Like BRD/MCH is always needed for progression raid parties, but I doubt you'd want two of them in a party
For normal stuff? It doesn't matter (though for roulettes, I'd say NO DPS is needed, it's tanks that are, haha).
What are you looking to do and which DPS class do you like the most?

Clearly, the best Final Fantasy character is Locke Cole.
Glamour is TRUE ENDGAME
well... it's kinda true. Since both DRK and WAR can sub as DPS, one can go 4-man with all 3 tanks and a SCH and still manage to finish a level 60 dungeon.
No one hates double SMNs in dungeons now.
I'm just some guy...
Depends on the situation really. For most things outside of savage it really doesn't matter, though early on in heavensward a lot of people didn't want more than one brd/mch fro dps heavy fights like Bismarck...but that was mostly down to them having more of a stigma at expansion launch from minuet controversy and MCH being generally a bit underpowered. And pug unreliability :P
For savage itself - Bards and Machinists seem to be in very high demand right now, slightly followed by the melees, in my experience. As for doubling up, I don't think people would mind having 2 of the same melee, or even 2 blms for something like A1 - although most statics would try and avoid doubling up. It does slow down the limit break buildup. I'm sure it can and has been done though, especially now we've had a good couple of months of eso gear.
2ninjas or 2smn in a savage group I can see working out. But for 4man stuff I really wish to get those 2 epic monks I had in one go. 15min clear on continuum with a pug party. Though I've heard smn's are even more beast on 4man content. Too bad the good ones seem to be very scarce.
"Sent on Android device"People need to remember that a healer's job isn't to heal HP
but rather to prevent HP from reaching 0
Depends on what you are doing. Like what was said Bard/mach are always good to have, dragoon also and warrior. Monks i do not see around as much as they used to be.
Many variables as to the choice
I still call it Double Flare even if the spell itself isn't as popular as it used to be, but BLM+BLM is always a one way ticket to a good time.
As a Bard, the one thing you never want to see when entering roulette is a second Bard. Or a Machinist. We do not compliment each other well at all. D:
I love coming across a BLM or SMN, though. Gives me a chance to spam Foes, and you'll never see me complaining about that. Love you BLM/SMNs~<3
At least now bard has a DPS LB. I remember getting double bard all the time back when they had healer LB and it was just *drags hands down face*. I still really prefer not to have two BRDs even post HW but its not near as disappointing. It just feels like they still do the least damage of any other doubled up DPS in 4 mans and god forbid one or both of them is only a mediocre BRD to begin with. Suddenly fights drag on forever. As a Bard, the one thing you never want to see when entering roulette is a second Bard. Or a Machinist. We do not compliment each other well at all. D:
