Yesterday I did a few runs in WOD because i really need a piece for glamour, but ok.
Mostly it went ok, aside one wipe at the eye thingie... but what I don't understand and was baffled most of the run was the bard - the bard whenever he had MP had the Army's peony on. ALL THE TIME. And i mean during fights most of the time. I did try to ask them, but they didn't answer, am not sure they understood what I was asking.

Happens plenty. I don't know why people keep talking about Alex normal like it's a pushover, because a lot of DF groups make it seem otherwise, and I still get plenty of ragequits and vote abandons in all 4 turns.

To me, pushover content is stuff that even the DF will have a hard time failing. Surprisingly enough, Titan HM, despite being notoriously difficult back in 2.0 days, is something I get a better win rate on than any of the Alex turns nowadays.

Steps of Faith is also there now since the nerf. Never lost it since. Even if someone ends up leaving right at the start (possibly due to not even realizing yet that the fight has been incredibly nerfed) and even when there are multiple screwups, it's really hard to fail this trial nowadays.

Well yes, I have seen wipes to Oppressor. That one is not an absolute pushover.
But Faust? It's just a Punching dummy, the only possible danger are the ADDs. I just can't see a wipe to that happening.

Here's mine:

I queue up for level roulette on my dragoon. I get Toto Rak. The healer logged off as soon as we got in. We thought he disconnected so we waited 5 minutes for him to come back. When the healer returned, he just stood there. He didn't talk or move and it lasted for about 5 minutes. I started to realize he was just waiting for a vote-kick because he did not want to take the penalty for leaving and he clearly did not care about doing the dungeon, either.

He logged off a second time. This was when the rest of us decided to play around with him, since we were bored. "Nope, we aint kicking him. We'll just go and waste his time, until he decides to either leave and take the penalty or join us in doing the dungeon."

For 30 to 45 minutes or however long it was, the healer kept logging off, coming back on and afk for 5 to 10 minutes, without ever saying a word. But we were persistent and kept trolling him and having a fun time. Eventually the healer gave in and left, taking the penalty (Yay!)

What did we do? We left aswell because after all that we didn't feel like doing it anymore :P

I had some groups that reached enrage on Oppressor in A1 normal while I was healer (and I was contributing in DPS).
I decided to not even try to do A4 in DF.

For 30 to 45 minutes or however long it was, the healer kept logging off, coming back on and afk for 5 to 10 minutes, without ever saying a word. And we were persistent and kept trolling, laughing about and having a fun time. Eventually the healer gave in and left, and took the penalty

The amusing thing is that he would have spent less time by doing the entire duty. xD
Good thing is that you had fun anyway.


Now for my story:
While leveling NIN, I queue for the leveling roulette in progress and the duty pops immediately saying 2/3.... Mmh. I accept, even if I feared the outcome.
I land in the Aery, only the WAR (new player) was there and soon a BRD joins.
We all sit there waiting for a healer, while my hands are twitching over the DF menu.
At some point the tank says "we will probably never get a healer :/" that's it! This is my cue.
I say "brb", get out of the duty, change to my level 60 WHM and requeue (this time only for the Aery), duty pops immediately and as soon as I enter I say "I am back!".
Let's just say that I got some surprised replies. xD
We killed the last boss without problems, the tank was really happy and even said "it's so easy with a good group! " before leaving.
I got 2 commendations, I commended the tank, tho I wish I would have been able to commend the DPS too.

When dps is too low, adds eventually overwhelm the OT, and from that point it's not long before the rest of the group falls over like a stack of dominoes. Even if the MT is being attentive and tries to pick them up he usually cannot, because of the healer aggro that's been built up already, and additionally, death-preventing abilities do not work on the adds (Hallowed Ground does not prevent damage from them, and I'm assuming based on that Holmgang and Living Dead won't prevent you from dying to them either)

This was about maybe a week or two after Heavensward came out so there was still people new to Neverreap.
So there was me(as a WHM), a PLD, and two NINs who entered together. The NINs were new so the tank explained the first boss. We cleared little to no problem but one of the NINs got upset because he wanted to be surprised by everything and not be ruined by knowing how it will go. PLD was confused but didn't comment. Once we we got to the second one tank started to explain and the NIN got upset once a again and NINs vote kicked him. Next tank came in started to explain fight and thus they were kicked.

At that point I just left not wanting to deal with it.

Lolol i've come across a few of those "don't spoil the fight!" people. I get that you want to "experience" stuff fully for the first time but I don't see any harm in explaining what you need to do. Some people.. :P
